    Hmmmmm . . . Dragons = Elder Gods?
The existence of the dragonflies and the multiple sizes and physical configurations
tells me that dragonkind can work wonders with flesh. We also know that they can
be capricious at times. So. What do you guys think? Could dragons actually BE
the race known to the core worlds as the “Elder Gods”?
    Yes? No? Maybe so?

Either they are or know them either way things are going to get very interesting very
fast if the Empire can unite all known planets. I’m sure the dragons could open new
wormholes if they choose to as well since they can teleport as well. I think they use
ships out of a desire to see whats out there. Or laziness lol.

Ah yes I love watching a Karen put in her true place: as a whiney trouble-making pain in the…
    Well you get the idea.

Make sense the dragons have incredible power and are very long-lived considering that’s how
Tearsa and Kathy got their dragon spirit! Makes me wonder if they’ve just been waiting to see
if any of the races would reach a level that the dragons could respect. from what I’ve seen so
far I’d say the empire is well on it’s way. “You have already taken the first steps” guess where
that quote is from? LOL Been a sci-fi nerd since ’67 lol.

      Stargate.
I always found it funny afterwards. “You have already taken the first steps.”
And just a few years later: “Here is all our knowledge and technology. We are
collectively committing suicide. Good luck.” (not a quote)
One of the main reasons I was sad that Stargate: Atlantis ended. We never
saw more from the Asgard from the Pegasus galaxy.

SG-1 saved their “little grey butts” at least 4 times while RDA was in command. I’d say
that earned them something but I agree everything was a bit much and it would take
decades if not centuries to understand it all. Sad thing is that the Asgard only knew a
tenth that the ancients knew… kinda scary really…

Oh, I agree that they earned it. I just find it funny.
And yes, it is scary. And all that because of just one decision
that ended in a dead end for the Asgard. Which is even more scary.

I like these lizard guys I do but it’s hard to read their
expressions and their smile could pass for a snarl.
    Somehow I feel a hand-to-hand fight with
any of them wouldn’t be easy lol.

Stagnation as most understand it is an illusion. There is only growth or death.
Stagnation is just another word for dying. Which admittingly can take a very
long time in some cases. But unless something changes and it’s back towards
growth, the end result is death.
And just to clear that up, growth can come
in very different ways than the obvious.

I feel that we humans have stagnated we’ve beaten any predictor that would of
been the pressure to evolve and in our own way we are preying on ourselves
because there’s nothing to challenge us as a race. We’re focused on toys and
how to better our lives but no real issues to cause an evolutionary change in
us. Grim I know but it’s how I’ve come to look at it. Space travel will help
new places and challenges that might just do the trick!

We need to challenge ourselves, but that’s hard work, which few will see a need to.

What’s really important is flexibility, the ability to adapt to changes.
(The common house fly survived as species just fine for hundreds
of millions of years without much change, let alone “growth”)

Growth just for the sake of it can be a trap.

Call it growth, adaptation, development or anything else you like.
It’s the principle that counts and it should not lead into a dead end.

How does the emergency system work by the way?
    Especially, who’s paying the crews?

Any group, such as the HOA, which enters into a contract pays a monthly fee.
This gets them a per-call discount and priority on calls (Everything else being
equal). In this case, the tolls they pay on their new road also pay for security,
provided by Clan Teranta, which is nearby. In fact, Carl has a security air car
in his back yard, and the Cat rapid response team stays at his house on a
rotating basis along with several casual visitors. His house gets pretty
crowded at times, but no one minds. And no guests stay more than a week
so as to not violate the HOA rules on guests. They also do their share of
cooking and cleaning and otherwise helping out.

I see Carl has another hot rod besides his Mustang back in the garage.

i would not call a “Work Truck” a hot rod.
add a Allison or Merlin to 57 / coup / bucket.
      then were getting somewhere.
