Lower lethality than I was expecting. Also,
apparently some of the dingy dozen are in hiding.
I see three possibilities:
1: Palas and Chardis are good actors.
2: dragonflies don’t spill everything they know.
3: dragonflies don’t pry into other minds uninvited without reason.
Leaning toward 3 but all three could be true.
Hi all, new reader here, so you know who I am;
Real name David Harding; user name StripeCoat.
The avatar is based on the rare striped rabbit of Borneo.
Retired fitter living on a hobby ‘farm’ near
St Arnaud, Victoria, Australia.
Main interest Astronomy so I have several telescopes
and a 10ft (3m) dome observatory.
Second interest is writing science fiction stories; main characters
are hare, but humans and predators that normally hunt them are not
left out. I am hopeless at art.
StripeCoat.
Surviving well considering I’m two/three months from my 80th birthday.
Won’t list all the problems, just say disabled parking
permits don’t come for no reason.
Art wise stick figures are about my standard, but I do have a decent
camera (Canon 550D SLR).
Considering how well she was tucked up in the rafters, I can only
speculate she got hit with spalling concrete, hit by a ricochet, or
her perch fell on her when she dismounted. (Single pedestal tables
are unstable as heck when stacked like that. I figure her Catian
agility got her up there and kept her there in the first place!
Getting down, A whole different kettle of fish…)
That moron that opened fire was in “spray-n-pray” mode I’m surprised
anyone was hit! Just some idiots I doubt knew how to hold, much less
use an AR.
Shocking the kitties? lol It’s always the fastest way to get deep cuts;
to shock your house cat lol. Mine decided to say hello by jumping on
my belly the day I came home from surgery landed right on the site and
I let out a yelp almost needed more stitches! Then to add insult to
injury my wife’s lap dog just had to do the same lol.
I wore a body pillow across it for the next 2 weeks!
I doubt brown shirt was in spay & pray mode; he was both firing
and looking up.
Two possibilities; he saw her and missed (no serious injury visible
next page) or (more likely) he was aiming at the light.
If he was aiming at the light it is most likely she was hit by a
ricochet and/or concrete brick fragments.
If he was aiming at her it is more likely she was hit with one or
more concrete/brick fragments.
Of course he is certain to have been the initial target of the
retaliation and thus be in one of the two body bags.
And if she could get up there safely she could get down safely –
unless a bullet took the tables out from under her and I think
we would have been shown that.
It is not often Captain Chardis is stuck for words, but maybe
the breaks are the blue dragonfly filling in a few details?

I know nothing about the stars. Art is all I am. Oh, and tunes.
How are you doing in Oz these days?

Hello StripeCoat. This is a great place to be.
The comic and conversations are unbeatable. I am 80 in Sept.
Hello again, working my way up through the panels as time allows.
I found one of your characters on web. lol
