Uh-oh the Chens are serious trouble.

make that call, Mr. Chen.” Then she’d have known, sooner
rather than later.

Mr Chen looks like he is fading away. Is it fear, or karma?
A little of both I think, he was thinking he could scare off the cop,
knowing that they could bust him and lose everything if it didn’t
work. But then again, I’ve met people that can talk big but shrink
fast when their stoopid is laid bare.
HA! I love it. He KNOWS what talk like that will get him, he’s
just trying to intimidate her into backing down, not happening.
If anything, one stupid person is going to cause yet another
purge of all government connections. I love how her backup
was just standing there, acting like a brick wall. Plus the
werewolves will start to circle the wagons…

Good call, if they are just trying to get an “in” to turns as many
people as they can to act as thralls, then stage a coup. Then
again, no one thought the P’tero would become friendlies either.
You know the old saying about politics and bed-fellows.
My eldest called me around 8pm, he’s bringing the grand kids to visit
and he and his 14 y/o son to pull the wire for running power to my
wife’s machines. I physically can’t get into the crawl space much less
crawl around. That boy might be able to stand up in spots. My youngest
is afraid of having an attack under there and not get back out on his own.
I guess I’ve pushed myself too hard, the nurse was showing real concern
about me, pale lips, dark circles, and I drift off mid-sentence…
