can someone tell me installment # where that story
began? I need a kick-ass name for an Imperial warship.

I figure on giving the Catman decals for several different
ship names. What do you guys think of the Empire’s
ships’ FTL pods looking rather similar to ST:TOS style
nacelles?
TOS or TNG? I’m fond of the TOS myself.

I’m trying to make warp nacelles reminiscent of the ones
from the original series. I’m slowly making progress but
it’s forcing me to try different approaches. I’m having to
try things I never tried before. More than once I have had
to delete something I spent a couple (or more) hours
building.
Note: While the warp nacelles I’m making will very much
resemble those on the TOS Enterprise, they will still be
my rendition. I’m using pictures of the original Enter-
prise along with a free model I downloaded some time
ago. I did send PC models of warp nacelles and struts
for his perusal.

Considering the 23rd Century OG nacelles were painted
map tubes with a tennis ball on the back and a rotating
shutter with a red light on the front, I think they looked
pretty good. They used to have a fine point on the middle
of the “busard collectors” but that was dropped, no doubt
because they kept getting broke off and the model crew
got tired of fixing them.
I’m working on something similar to the 23rd century
version (never liked the refit nacelles). It will be recog-
nizable but not a straight out knockoff. I see the Em-
pire’s engineers as always producing things that look
finished and fully developed.
.. this IS the core… and what they could throw together…
ok,, one would be done right.. the prototype,.
the rest, would be piecemeal parts.!
the PTB would NOT wait for all ships to be retrofitted.!!

I think that includes shipwrights too. Gotta admit, the Pride screams
that! I think the FTL ships need better streamlining anyway, even
if they “jump” they still have to travel through gas and dust clouds.
I’m thinking like the nuke subs of today, even the weapons ports
close up for streamlining.

I honestly think the controlling people of Motha should be brought to
charges, they are going against their own governments just to take
revenge on crap they started in the first place.
That MIGHT change their minds, but I have my doubts. Either way,
with only 3 left of the core worlds that are openly against the Empire,
(2 of which we haven’t met yet) I can’t see how they can have a prayer
to go back to the way it was pre-Empire.
Sigh… I had to take away my father’s meds yesterday,
he’s lost the ability to keep track of the day/night, and
has been taking his pills WAY more than the prescriptions
call for. He’s going to OD if I don’t, plus I had to have
the “diaper talk” too… I’ve had to throw out several
of his clothes because of it.
I feel for you, man. Luckily neither of my folks deve-
loped dementia. My Dad’s Mom died from compli-
cations of Alzheimer’s but neither he nor any of his
siblings ever developed it (to the best of my know-
ledge). My wife’s Dad died of complications of de-
mentia. She has told me about some of what she
and her sister went through caring for him at the end.
She told me about him having to wear the adult dia-
pers. Unfortunately you still have to change the dia-
per and wipe their shitty butt. I guess it’s turn about
for them changing your diapers when you were little.
DAMN! But I hope I go fast if for no other reason than
to not be a burden on my family!
That’s the sad part, when he was diagnose with
Alzheimer’s the cognitive test was 30 points, he
only got 6, and the last visit he got 3. We have
to remind who my brother-in-law is and my sister
is because he doesn’t see them as often as me and
my wife. Plus a couple of days ago my wife got
up in the morning and he was pointing at the door
in a mild panic, she looked at the door and even
looked outside and he said there was someone
standing by the door shushing him because
“I’m hiding from them” there was no one there…
If he gets much worse we might not have a choice
and put him in a home, I’m no nurse and he’s
going to need full time care.
One hard lesson I’ve had to learn several times for it to truly sink in.
You have to take care of yourself, or you’ll be in no condition to help anyone else.

i cannot take care of a adult by my self,.
so having a nurse or caretaker is a boon.!
