but I’d still not want to spar with her

If it takes a 50 BMG to make a hole in the stuff,
that’s way better than anything in RL. I’d hate
to be the live tester though, bruises and cracked
ribs… No thanks.
I don’t care about “absorb this” and “disperse that”.
Gunpowder, laser, or plasma, they all generate a lot
of power when they fire at a target.
And be it foot-pounds, or watts, or joules, it’s all
gotta go somewhere when it hits target. It doesn’t
just magically disappear (POOF!). Even if none of it
penetrates the target, said target is gonna have
cracked ribs, bruised muscles and organs, and possibly
a stopped heart from the shock. At the least it’s
gonna take a minute (or five) to catch breath from
collapsed lungs.
The most common conversion of matter/energy
is heat, which can be vented away. Kinetic
energy is the same, but most “bullet proof”
armor/clothing just has a higher level to
failure, this stuff seems to have a much higher
limit than all the RL stuff. in any case, the
result of ANY armor is it only stops/slows
the transfer of energy by a percentage, any
left-over gets to you. You don’t escape injury,
you just avoid a slug wound or a through and
through. I’ve seen what a .762 and a .50 beo
can do to flesh (cow harvest), I think I’d take
a cracked/broken rib any day.

straight face…
I’d put Ahmya at 120-130 lbs, he’s most
likely 170-180, that’s enough to do a
“FINISH HIM” move on any furniture.
