Aliens? “Monkeys”? Don’t know who those guys are but that ship’s not conformed like anything I’d expect to come off a human being’s drawingboard. Definitely an “alien symmetry” going on there. Can’t wait to get a look at those critters. Catman’s definitely going for something other than the classic “humans only” universe scifi line.
Just for grins. Catman? Where did you find that model? It’s out there! Also would not mind an external shot of that new freighter. Any way you could send me those to look at and learn from? Don’t want to copy the models, I just want to take em apart to see how they’re made.

If they’re calling us Monkeys, then not hominids, even Yeti or Sasquatch. But I’ve heard similar insults from not a few of the apply-stuff-to-their-ears-or-faces “aliens” on Star Trek that required human actors. I am eager to see them, too, partly to see if a personal theory pans out. Glad to see they won’t shoot before they have an opportunity to see THESE aliens are nearly as much cat as monkey. Also, curious to see if the above exchange is translated or if their native tongue is also an English sound-alike.
Universal trade language.
“Universal trade language” = dodge so storyteller doesn’t have to actually depict alien language in speech balloon plus have separate speech balloon for “translation” lol Makes sense to me
Good enough. And I then have to repeat my pet theory that dragons have been subtly tweaking English into this universal trade language, possibly since before the Indo-Europeans spread out of western Asia.
(Reminds me of a theory I came up with in high school. Showed a buddy a map of Eurasia, and traced how the Vandals, Goths, Teutons, Avars, Huns, Magyars, Mongols and Turks (I found out later this was true of the Celts and Hellenes too) had come streaming out of western and central Asia and raised havoc in successive waves, and said “You know what this means, don’t you? There’s an interdimensional portal somewhere about HERE, and SOMEBODY is shoving all their troublemakers through it.”)
