“HSSSSSSSST! ROMANI!”
So Chardis left Katia before the Romani were “rehabilitated”
didn’t she? She can’t know Taritha’s special relationship
with Teresa. Hope somebody steps in before she does
something really stupid. This could get ugly in a hurry.
Yeah! I totally forgot that part. It’s understandable she’d react that way
boy is her face going to be red when she finds out that Taritha is the
Empress’s envoy. but I’m sure there might be some lingering doubt, at
least at first.
Welp. I’m not too surprised about Cissy’s request, although I figured it
was going to come up by the end of the story line, not at the first few
weeks in heh. She was eyeing Alex much of the time she was talking
and he was a near perfect gentleman to her. I knew a few “professional”
ladies way back when they can get pretty cynical about men in general.
(no I didn’t, never had to 😉 )
i suspect the Queen, will order Chardis to ‘Stand Down’.
in her chambers (presence). she did not get Queen
status by letting things get out of hand.. then there are
3 others that can deescalate this,, also the paper work.
and finally she could ask the dragonflys…
Cap. Chardis just narrowly escaped capture and destruction by a
hostile force, dealt with a damaged ship, and then seen a hated
traitor to her race in an area she couldn’t of been in, so yeah
I can totally understand her reaction. I’m sure the Queen will
too, once Chardis calms down (knowing the Catians) I’m sure
things will be resolved.
I think I have come up with a (at least quasi) real world explanation for and basis of the
empire’s grav technology. If you’re interested, Catman, drop me a note here and I’ll work
up a capsule description to publish here. I know you’ve been a bit unhappy that you
came up with the idea and don’t want to make the empire omnipotent. My idea
would bring the SciFi elements of TGW at least nominally into the realm of so-called “hard scifi”.
Oh, that didn’t make a good first impression, Captain!

‘ROMANI!’ Oooops.
yeah, there is some catching up to do there :{
Cissy is making the most of having some time of her own :}
Well she’s a pro and he’s had special training, so this could get…
uhmmm… messy? naaa… loud!
Having that much professionalism in this field could get one thing, too.
In the way.

I’ve had a few ideas as well I’d love to see it. I’d post mine
here but I’d rather not fill the comments section with it.
Go ahead, Bill. Love to hear it.
