communication, much less diplomacy. Their military and government
earned what they are getting. Whether that extends to the species
as a whole remains to be seen. This is their -first- attempt at
talking, and is only being offered under extreme duress. “From the
planet” doesn’t necessarily mean the government. It -could- be a
more amenable opposition group, but that doesn’t seem likely.
The Disruptors put me in the mind of Kingons, cruel to
“Lesser” beings and quick to start a war for funsies. So
taking them down a few notches might make them think,
but I kinda doubt it. We haven’t seen anything to make
us think they aren’t all war-like, your basic a-holes in

Well, she IS working for him gratis. I’m used to providing meals for
people moving my stuff or working on my house or yard, even if
they are doing it out of friendship.
My youngest is setting up a place for 3 single guys can
all move in together and get (hopefully) out of debt. His
buddy is loud and has been through a break-down so

a “hold my beer” type of guy so he’s not the brightest
bulb. The nice thing is he had fiber-optic internet 5 gbps
so that’s a neat thing.
The psyc-nanny I met with is talking about more pills

to sense time, I thought today was Sunday and
it was still the first week of the month. I was
surprised when I fired my computer up and seen
it was the 12th.

subconsciously,. my roommate took so many pills she had
to have a chart, for when an how many…
i’m not like that.! told the therapist any more than 7,
i stop taking em all.!!! at 5 now…
It took me a bit to remember my heart meds and the diabetic meds.
I just kept forgetting to take them on time so half the time they
didn’t help me much. I’m currently take 12 pills a day, the metformin
I take 3 of those every night. I take 2 for my LDL, another for my
heart blockages, aspirin, fish oil (yuk), my water pill, and my
migraine med. I used to joke with them about opening our own
pharmacy with all the drugs we took.
I feel you. I have alarms set on my phone for morning and evening
pills and I still forget them because I don’t want to stop what I am
doing to take them right then. Which reminds me…
I tried that, but unless I carried my phone I would miss
an alarm. Plus, my wife would nag me about taking them
and well… I’ll have to adjust. What worries me is the
new place is in a rough part of town and some of my
meds have street value. Ah well, maybe by then I can
get my guns back and act as a deterrent heh 😀
I spent a few hours today talking to my son and his buddy,
I guess we are doing it, they are going to fix up a large
bedroom for me and such. It’s going to take time and I
need to get a door for the room. He’s got a decent
place but it’s in a town and in the rougher area. I warned
him my nerves are shot and he needs to keep it down,
he’s one of those people that CAN’T talk quietly. My
son doesn’t want me going to a home so I guess this
is an option.
