Sorry about missing yesterday’s strip. I had a bad case of get-there-itis with
my new build computer.
I had it up and running, Windows 10 and all needed software installed, pump
and fans running… but I was having trouble with the main graphics program
finding the assets needed to create the comic. I kept thinking that I needed
to try “Just one more thing” and it would all come together.
That took all day, and I failed.
That damned computer is sitting on a shelf now, out of my way. I’ll try again
this weekend, right now I’m working on Friday’s comic.
Again, sorry.
Don’t sweat it, These things happen. I’ve lost track of the times
I needed to do something and lost track of time. After the storm
that rolled through here I was worried you had a black-out etc.
Been there, done that, wore out the T-Shirt.
You’ll get it, walking away and coming back fresh is always a good plan.
How do I know? 46 years practicing Electrical Engineer as of yesterday.
And more time in the field with my hands dirty than behind a desk.
This is a great idea, secure a ship or 3 and move it out of sight
before the fleet knows what’s happening.
Just need to find an engineer, a pilot, and maybe the weapons
officer and have a “conversation” with ’em.
Hope that double balled spiked flail is for intimidation purposes.
It’s great at dealing out death and destruction but not so much
for subtle interrogation techniques.
Then again if the interrogation results in a death sentence well,
it’ll do the job. Messy though.
A “light” tap on a limb would be a great instinctive to start talking,
more so if the first one they questioned didn’t make it through
the “talk” in one piece. I doubt anyone is going to feel very friendly
with any of them, since the plan was to bomb/blast them beyond
the stone age. Maybe it’d be fitting to pump that toxic waste into
the ships to take home with them…
