for the engineers to follow, once a marine, always one! The one coach at my high school
was a ex-marine and wow! Strict and quick to punish by time my freshman year was up
I could do 50 pushups in 2 mins and run 25 laps around the gym in 10. I had hairy legs
and the other guys were always yanking out hair while in formation.

From the story I heard the last remaining troops were shipped home from there in mass most
of them were discharged on the way back some still had field uniforms on when they got back
to the states with only their field packs and weapons on them. Nixon was pressured to pull all
troops back by a set date or they would of been abandoned and captured by the North. I don’t
know all the details it was just a short report on the news back in 1974 I believe. Some vets
would talk about it but not in a lot of details. Orders I guess? Most I met were Army the only
Marine I met was my sophomore coach.
I was up at 0300 this morning and The Gentle Wolf ended the month of July at #4 on TopWebComics.

As much as I’d like to see a weekly sitcom/drama/dystopian series on TV like this
I’m afraid that the conservative nature of this comic wouldn’t be well received which
breaks my heart. Or at least the “pet bees” wouldn’t… and the “gimmie” bunch…
and Jim’s “friends”… and so on.
Yeah no doubt “too violent” or “sends the wrong message to kids” or ” putting too much”
burden on the young” or “A man marrying more than one woman? Outrageous!” and so on.

Oh, I believe that it would be well received. But the pet bees wouldn’t allow it,
or would want to change the characters and their relationships.
