Mrs. Hikaru shop keeper and agency manager. The ‘boys swallowed it hook,
line and sinker. Good luck with crew getting back in time and in good
shape. Dings and scratches will abound.
What about a very, very large long toothed, long clawed, Sphinx cat.
They are already nearly Nhauga hide if they were skinned. Teeth like
a sabre tooth and claws like the Sun (Honey) bear?
I’m voting for a more bear-like creature with longer claws and jack rabbit hind legs, large
nostrils, long jaw with fangs, owl-like eyes, horn-shaped ears, fur like a golden retriever’s,
long kangaroo-like tail, a howl like a banshee and hide and seek tactics. Yes I know it’s
something I had a nightmare of once lol. The subconscious mind of a 12 y/o is a mean thing.
Only PC knows… I do like this I’m sure it’ll end badly for a few of the crew but it is a great way
to make friends of old antagonists and it helps out the Catians plans too.
I was hoping a longer back story with Tenshi but I’m sure it’ll be filled out more later on It’s
looking like the tangled web is far from played out lol. PC you love to twist I think my back would
of gone out by now! LOL

Everyone is talking “danger to the hunting crew”.
I think its a “snipe hunt” setup, there is no dangerous nhauga.
Everyone will run around for hours/days out in the wilderness and find…..nothing.
And then be told, “must be an off year, none to find. too bad. maybe next year”.
Everyone will be returned to base, unhurt, possibly a little hung over, lots of
tall tales to tell “no shit! there I was!”, and lots of new friendships all around.
Ether they are real or not is moot because I’m sure there’s plenty of critters to hunt even if the
Nhauga is just another name for snipe it’ll delay the ships from leaving until the Catains have a chance
to have a long talk etc…
Catain’s have always been benign folk unless you threaten them so playing the long game comes natural
to them.
oh I’d say yes Mrs. Hikaru is just jumping the gun and looking to make easy money she’s not being cruel or
anything just an opportunist once Tenshi’s done she’ll have no claim on her (not that she won’t try “I have
idea you work for me”). Word of mouth is the best low-cost advertising that any kid can have! I started a business
of bait and tackle when I was 11 (dug worms and rescued lures where people had lost them) I also started making
lead sinkers sadly it went away when the marina closed up and I got lead poisoning from melting old car batteries
in my bedroom… oops! Ah 1972 they were still making toothpaste tubes and paint with lead back then so who knew?
She didn’t go back to the pidgin with the new face. Maybe this guy (I’ll call not-King)
already knows her (he knows her name) and so it would be pointless.
I didn’t recognize Harold; that makes Mr President’s comment quite likely.
When Garion sent out the letters the setting of Tenshi’s arriving implied
there was someone back at base taking orders.
And that might be where this back story is going as shopkeeper
tries to take advantage of of Tenshi to make easy money.
But we know Harold runs a fair and honest business,
so he finds out and helps her to be truly independent.
Yep, mythical giant Koala bear (Which isn’t actually a bear),
all teeth and claws with the disposition of a wild boar.
Hangs out in trees and drops on unsuspecting travelers.
Fossils of giant koalas do exist, but none of them match the myth
Not living in Oz, I had to look it up. Giant, shaggy haired fiercely
toothed ambush predator Koalas? What kind of twisted mind even conceives
such a thing? Gotta be the same sort of mindset as Stephen King.
I’m picturing a carnivorous giant similar to a giant ground sloth.
Or a 2 meter smilodon.
Ok, I’m probably missing something here, but… Who is that tiger Cat
with the eye patch, and when did she become a Christian? Not that
I’m complaining, but I find it odd that a people who KNOW who and what
their Creator is, and pretty much hate him for why he did it, would
worship the same Deity that created the same race, under a
different name, that he was a part of…
Her story begins here: http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-427/
Jiena is the injured cat. After the Civil War was over, the Empire seized that hotel and
gave it to the Cats in residence as compensation. They decided to change it to a
pirate theme, and right now Jiena is in costume. The eyepatch was real after she was
first rescued, but after her eye was replaced she kept the patch, feeling it gave her a
proper piratical aire. The cross might be part of the costume, I don’t get into religion
much, here. More info: http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-631/ and the next page.
I had hoped Jiena was going to be ok last time I saw her she was mentally a mess like a badly abused
dog from a shelter and yes from what I’ve read many pirates were christian go figure just like the Italian
mafia. They loved the Lord just ignored the teachings when it suited them.

I still cannot get over Nhauga hides.
Made me spew coffee out my nose.
Not nice but good job Mr. Cat.
Looking forward to seeing the animal model Catman has to use for the
nhauga. The “original” one (from the ads) is cute but lame.

I like it, but PC may go with some sort of mythical creature
especially from Indian or Mexican folk law;
of which I know almost nothing.
I’m voting for a more bear-like creature with longer claws and jack rabbit hind legs, large
nostrils, long jaw with fangs, owl-like eyes, horn-shaped ears, fur like a golden retriever’s,

I see the shop keeper is a fast and smart thinker! Tenshi aquires a business manager!
The hunt could end up forging friendships between cats and destroyer crew
but we will have to wait and see what PC has in mind
Now that’s a good thought. Nothing forges friendships like
danger, blood and deadly projectiles.
Only PC knows… I do like this I’m sure it’ll end badly for a few of the crew but it is a great way
to make friends of old antagonists and it helps out the Catians plans too.

With PC that is quite on the cards,
But I am betting on a real hunt; more room for “things” to happen.
Does Tenshi break away and become “independent”?
(sorry Mrs Hikaru, you ain’t my “manager”)
oh I’d say yes Mrs. Hikaru is just jumping the gun and looking to make easy money she’s not being cruel or

Harold. He owns the dealership/manufacturer where Cheryl bought her car:

Australians will know what I mean…

I’m thinking this Naugha could be a shapeshifting shifty big reptile.
I mean. Its a Naugha after all. Where does a pelt fit into that picture?
