As far as repairs to the TANSTAAFL, don’t repair TOO much. Leave the
bullet pocks in the brick, signs for future generations of, “yeah! this
was a place where some of the fight for freedom against tyranny took
place! yeah! be respectful!”
If you mean aluminum oxide, it’s NOT “transparent aluminum”. That
would imply a material that could replace metal, that is, not brittle
and can be bent to shape. Aluminum oxide acts like glass, although
stronger and harder. It will crack instead of bending, and when it
cracks, the crack will run catastrophically all the way through. It
may be a harder, stronger, and more expensive replacement for glass,
but not for metal.
No matter if it is classified as metal or glass this is fantastic.
The window of a military vehicle is better to replace than the driver.
Also for space use, every pound saved to lift cargo to orbit is
$$$$$$ saved.

Aluminum that is created under very high pressure, that is
supposed to be much harder than ALON.
I don’t know what Truth Matthew is considering that Teresa didn’t
already hear over the phone, but IMO he’s more likely to harm or
endanger her by NOT telling her than by telling her. She’s
functioning as an adult regardless of her calendar age, and I think
in general that’s true for any Truth a child is old enough to handle.
The line about their soldiers being one of their major exports just
hit home. There are a large number of Dogishuans “in service” in
the various Core World militaries, that are about to become
potential hostages and will have to be extracted as part of any
peace treaty just like the Catian slaves, aren’t there.
That is, assuming King Rexx accepts the Wolf Empire’s offer of trade
and employment and doesn’t just tell them to get lost now that he’s
talked to his advisors. Which doesn’t seem like the way this is going.
It may depend upon how dependent and or reliant these employers are
upon the Dog(ishuan) soldiers. Complex webs have been woven, and can
continue to be woven. Are the soldiers like Hessians, or what is
their loyalty to their employers. Does the king hold loyalty above
the employers. Some social beliefs and rules are still unknown. How
much of the many fleets are or can be controlled by the dogs? Do the
Dogishuans hold greater power in this new galactic equation that
they know? Shades of Great Games. a good dog can have great effects.
