I LIKE King Rexx. Pragmatic, realistic and cynical. Not “cynical” as
in “what’s in it for me”, but cynical as in “let’s see what’s in
both hands at once”. Not given to flights of fancy or extravagance.
Cpt Chardis speaks plain words that need to be said, but I’m afraid
that King Rexx has been so badly burned and abused over the years,
it will take many deeds, and even a period to be alone, to sit and
think, to convince him of Teresa’s sincerity.
(“Sincere”, from the Latin/Italian sine (without), cera (wax). an
inspection that every block of marble coming out of the would have
to have on it. What sculptor or architect would want to create or
build an eternal masterpiece from something that would suddenly
melt or deform?)
Woodman, I had heard that story about sincere so, just for the hell
of it, I looked up the etymology of “sincere” and found out that
according to the “Oxford English Dictionary” the “without wax”
etymology is a “linguistic legend”. From the article I found:
” “Sincere,” first recorded in English in the 1530s, is from the
Latin word sincerus, meaning “clean, pure, sound, etc.,” according
to the Oxford English Dictionary. ”

FYI: i have a half dozen “Adopted” nieces ,,. school girls (13 – 16 age)
now days have two to five adopted in school families.. and in most cases
they are real to them as their real family.. IE: i received permission
to pick up sick “niece” from school (parents were busy) ,, because other
niece said i was safe to her parents…
I guess I’m slow. Rob was right, phone was still on. Teresa has been eavesdropping/patiently
waiting for 14 strips. And several of them show the phone still on. Well played, PC.
And thank you for not naming Rexx’s mate Regina or some spelling variant. A word here from
the amphibians might go a long way to gaining Rexx’s trust, more than a ‘gift’ he recognizes
as putting him and his people in debt, a debt of honor if nothing else.
I have a second thought about who is behind this. He has to have
money, but instead of the want-to-be father, what about the useless
son. He would be able to get rid of the bodyguard first and then his
dad. Jealousy reigns supreme. I just thought I would throw that in
as well. The father would have more luck kidnapping her than trying
to replace her, but then he doesn’t know about the Dragonflies either
so both plans would fail.
Question for Petercat. Why put the androids’ (specifically Annie’s)
brains in their legs as opposed to putting it in their torso?
Assuming the machines’ purpose from the beginning was as sex objects,
wouldn’t it be easier to hide something the size of a 2-liter soda
bottle in the torso as opposed to their thigh? I would think that
something that large would be visible as well as palpable. I doubt
Annie’s thighs are much greater in diameter than a soda bottle. Even
if each android is somewhat unique, I would expect every android body
to be constructed to a standardized model with variations in length
of torso and limbs to account for different heights.
I also wonder about the size of the module. Why is it so large? And
why that shape? (Although I figure it more closely resembles a
medicine capsule than a soda bottle.) I would expect the things.to
be more nearly spherical or perhaps a rounded cube like a bud box.
Not arguing, mind you, just wondering out loud. I would have put
the brains in the torso if it was too large for the head.
from a “real world” stand point,, I would agree,. a 2-liter mass on
Annie would be her entire thigh, no room for any thing else,. but
that is real world not comic. now Aaron said “most of that is armor.”
so at least 51% of the mass is armor.. so the brain is a little
smaller than a 1 liter,. now lets say Aaron is correct in the
“original” design (2-liter shape).. , it would not “fit” in the
smaller chassis ,, so unknown to him, they retro fitted the brain,,
and armored the entire thigh,,. sooo.. where ever they put the
brain, they fit the armor to that area.
and this is just me,. but because of the 2 brain fuck up.. they
installed a ’emergency life support’ so the brain is not in sensory
depravation on start,. or if disconnected.. and that is allowing
the dragonfly link..
Torso is way too flexible to hold it. The only place they could put
it and retain natural flexibility would be in the thigh. Their right
thigh holds their coolant tank. And while I am not going to ask any
random young girls if I can squeeze their thighs, if my long-term
memory is correct, they’re not that squishy that a bottle-shaped
object would be too obvious.
Damn, PC, I’d pay good PPV money to see you ask a random (randy?)
young lady if you could squeeze their thigh, and then watch you get
slapped and pummeled.
ROFLOLMFAO!!
If the brain unit is mostly rigid armor, it would have the strength
to serve as a thigh bone. In three of these AI’s, it might be thicker
than the normal bone, but I think good design of the overlaying
“flesh” could have it feel like a hard muscle layer over a normal-
sized bone. In the smallest one, it might be too thick to be
disguised well; whether it could pass would involve questions of
pervert behavior that I do NOT want to know.

Mea culpa. Gratzi!
Aaron is getting a lateral job promotion from Imperial Security to..
….. personal Imperial Security of the androids and Teresa.
Well, he did sorta adopt them.
Did Teresa consent to being adopted?
Yes.! back when the Wolf Pack formed..
