Sorry about the mixup with the logo, Catman. I misunderstood what you were looking for. I will get on it later this morning after I eat and finish my coffee. I couldn’t sleep any more and so wound up getting up at 0400. Way earlier than I like to eat my breakfast. Not sure how I’ll do the graphic. Anim8or has functionality to turn text into a 3D model. I have never used that functionality but it appears relatively straightforward. The wolf’s head graphic is what I am unsure about. Guess I’ll have to experiment. I do need to know your preferences for type font and color. Once I have the logo itself built color is trivial. The graphic I sent you yesterday uses a Helvetica font which is what the U.S. DoD uses for marking aircraft and vehicles. If you have a different font preference let me know. The text part of the logo will be simple to re-execute once I get it looking right the 1st time. I’ll move the other projects to the back burner until you’re happy with the logo.
I will leave it up to you, no rush. Just whatever is easiest to read. As for colors, I can add whatever color fits the purpose when I use it.
Black for combat equipment, gold for ceremonial stuff, etc.
I’m so glad you’re doing these things, Bill. Thank you.
For the moment I’m going to leave things as they are but I will send you additional models of the logo in black, wolf green, desert tan (like on the HEMTTs I’ve seen online) and, a metallic gold. It’s a simple matter to copy the model and adjust the color. No biggie.
Change subject. I’m kinda thinking about putting lettering on the sidewall of the tires like the way real time manufacturers do. Since there is a “Yokohama” tire company and I don’t want to put “Goodyear” or Michelin what do you think about “Jericho” or perhaps “Lupus”? I’d like to hear your thoughts on a tire brand name. Would not mind suggestions from the peanut gallery, either. What do you guys think? Once I get the letters arranged in a decent looking arc, scaling them for different sized tires would be a snap. The boring part is all the steps needed to convert a word or line of text to a 3D mesh. Hell! The lettering could even be white. For that matter whitewalls would not be especially difficult. just a ton of work marking individual polygons to make them a different color from the tire body.
I’ve always bought Cooper for my cars and Avon for my motorcycles. I doubt if they would mind a plug!
They’re the same company, just different markets.
You can find their fonts with an Amazon search.
Might ought to think twice about buying Cooper tires now. Goodyear bought them out in February ($1.8 BILLION!) and according to the online reference “All Cooper truck tires are now made by Hangzhou (China) Rubber Co. Ltd.” Not sure I’d trust my ass on a scooter (or even on my cars) to tires made in Red China. BTW I found a font named “Cooper Regular that looks close. I also downloaded their logo. Depending on my mood I might ot might not make a copy of their logo. It is in some ways more involved than the wolf logo and that took a while.
Well, damn.
Avon motorcycle tires are made in England, I hope that doesn’t change.
Cooper was at one time a family-owned company, I guess the kids decided that they’d rather play than work.
Petercat,
Check your email; I sent you a present. I figured out how to do the graphic 3D. The lettering was fairly easy, if a bit tedious. There are 25 letters in the words “Property of Imperial Marines” and generating the text and converting each letter individually required right at 300 separate actions total. It took me over a hour to turn the one-paragraph blurb in the manual on turning true type fonts into a 3D mesh but I finally got it done. then I had to essentially “trace over” the logo graphic to turn it into a 3D mesh. But I “got ‘er done!” As always you can see some screen caps at my DA page: https://www.deviantart.com/bmullins3/gallery. Let me know what color(s) you want the model sent to you in. Also if you have another preference for type font let me know. I just got used to using Helvetica because that is used in aircraft markings.
Busy weekend, haven’t been reading. But I think I know what is going on in the bar, and it’s about as vicious as you can get without doing physical harm. Those three are NOT Jami’s friends. If I’m right, I hope Cherry is quick enough on the uptake to realize Jami has been set up, before her Catian friend breaks his neck.
ohh missed that,,, Jochi,, was pointing out,, ” that ‘Jochi’ hopes Cherry is fast enough to stop Yumi from breaking Jami’s neck..” i saw “head tilt” “Catian friend” “his neck”.. 🙁
so yeah ,, Yumi is telling Cherry what is is what…
I’m getting a “vibe”, that PeterCat is setting us up in the top strip. “Cherry” is NOT a prostitute, and both her and Yumi will take deep offense if approached directly and called that. Which is what Jami’s “friends” are counting on. They’re thinking, that as a soldier, Jami would be direct, and going directly for the “prize” (Cherry). Well, for some soldiers that may be how they work. Buuuut…..I’m thinking that Jami is the more cautious type, circling, observing, asking questions, THEN making a decision. And the “friends’ ” plot will backfire, and get them banned from the bar………for life.
Uh-oh! Nothing good can from firing plan ‘Kitty Litter’.
“Oh no! You did not just do the kitty liter at me!” hehe

“Cooper” it shall be.

I think there will be a twist in the bar; and that the people on the table will get a life-time ban, and that Jami will stay there for a while
Ah, welcome! If you would like me to make you an avatar, just say the word.
As for your speculation, well…
The Cat Sayeth Nothing.
Thanks for the offer, but I’m not really sure on what that could/would be.

Notice the head tilts in the previous page?
Oh, they’re both well-informed.
OK, got it. Banned for life it is. They were warned, pointedly. Idiots.
her neck,, her name is Yumi..
cat ears,, heard all..
ohh missed that,,, Jochi,, was pointing out,, ” that ‘Jochi’ hopes Cherry is fast enough to stop Yumi from breaking Jami’s neck..” i saw “head tilt” “Catian friend” “his neck”.. 🙁

But….we shall see in PeterCat’s good time.
I hate set ups like what Jami is in.
Firing plan ‘Kitty Litter’? Ooohhh… That’s gonna make a mess….
