I doubt there’s been time to outfit the Dogishuan’s security
forces with Imperial gear. We’ll see. But the forced abduction
of an Imperial client kingdom’s ambassador is at best a terrible
faux pas. At worst an act of war. Not that she knows that is
what she is doing. This won’t end well for her.
You got that right clearly she’s still thinking she has power over the fringe and when
she finds out she’s messing with an imperial member whoo boy! Now that a member
races are on the counsel it will majorly backfire. I believe the Catians have had some
time to help them ready themselves for this. Will it be enough? Only PC knows…
Allen is making a huge mistake and when he or the others try to demand a favor for
“old time’s sake” they’re in for a rude awakening. You don’t turn on friends for a
disagreement or suspicion of something just because they’ve made a few changes.
Jim is growing up and he can’t handle it.
Oh I know what you mean when I stopped being a “wild child” some of my friends said the same thing to me
I got a good job, cut my hair, got married, stopped drinking, and had kids they said I was “selling out”. All I
said was no, I was growing up try it some time, I have fewer friends but at least I had fewer hangovers LOL.
But I still missed bar hopping etc…

There are times when I see that PC has put a common theme between the two cartoons (intentional or not).
Today’s common theme seems to be “arrogance” and “hubris”.
Allen is totally dissing on Jim’s efforts to clean up himself in order to gain the park land.
Haz and Ioi don’t understand how they were out maneuvered, think that they are the lords of the universe,
and seem also to think that they can do whatever they want in order to get their way.
It will be interesting to watch their reactions as they realize their failure as they crash and fall.
He wasn’t in need of ‘cleaning up’ in the first place. Only bigoted morons dredged
forward from the 60’s think your hair length affects your competence, or intelligence.
Or the use of your ideas, thereby.
So he’s doing what he has to do to do to deal with bigoted morons who think they
have the right to tell ppl what to do with their own bodies, when it has sweet fuck
all to do with them.
I can tell you that none of the buildings I put up in 30+ years of construction
have fallen down and killed anyone, for any reason, much less cause I have long
hair. Nor can I tell you exactly how much contempt I have for the ‘cut your hair
and get a real job’ crowd. They’re the same crowd who have been fucking things
up for 70+ years. (Hell, forever, since it’s their ilk that’s been running things
forever.) And don’t waste my time with it being the wokes that did. They aren’t
the ones in power passing laws or running companies my entire life(51).
I had hair past my shoulder blades for a very long time. When I changed
to a buzz cut, my long-haired friends proved to be the least tolerant and
accepting of anyone.
That taught me the same thing that Jim’s figured out, that people are
more inclined to listen to you if your appearance is normal to them.
That’s not evil bigotry, it’s human nature. People of all types tend to want to
be around others like them.
I went through the same thing the only comment I got when I started to shave my head was from
another guy that shaved his and that was “Nice hair cut!” From the ages of 16 to 23 I rarely cut my
hair or beard but when I got my first real job at a factory it was just too hot to have it like that. Most
of my friends shrugged it off (the long haired hippie look had died off by then) and besides my
motorcycle helmet fit better LOL. (grumbling… stupid helmet law….)
I do now but when it was enacted I wasn’t happy about it I went with a full face one,
when I was ice racing it was a must, but I had an open face one and found out the
hard way ice can give you both freezer burn AND road rash LOL! Man, that stung!
I’m not very enthusiastic about laws that enforce common sense.
A few years ago here in Indiana a law was passed that required
drivers to slow down and move over when police car with flashing
lights pulled over to the side of the road. Common sense says
this is the thing to do, but several police and civilians had been
hit. Although I have a philosophical dislike for this type of law,
I must admit, had I been in the legislature I would have voted for it.
Some people need that proverbial slap to the back of the head.
to remind them not to do something to themselves or someone
else that will cause grief. It’s a poor person indeed who if they did
something to themselves would not bring grief to anyone else.
Oh, I’ve had my share of problems with fitting in and being accepted as normal.
Depends on who you try to hang with.
There are several places where I’m accepted without fitting in, and
other places that I just won’t go to at all.
We can all say that, I’m sure.
Not everyone can fit into every group. Some have an easier time
of it than others. That’s human nature, too, and everyone just
has to deal with it as they can.
I learned that a long time ago, especially since I was studying marital arts when
the show “Kung Fu” was on I was constantly being challenged and tested by my
peers it got old fast! I lost track of how many times I either had to flip over someone
or ending the fight with a simple punch to the sternum or the solar plexus… sigh…
highly effective nerve bundles in those places…
I hear that, my father and I did more in the first 30 years of life that most do in their entire life.
I know that sounds like bragging but he grew up as a farmer’s son, went to Korea, got “dear johned”,
divorced, remarried, had 3 kids, went to collage for industrial engineering while raising us, worked
his way up to the 4th man in the company, retired, went back to collage for music at 76, sang in several
opera shows, and is only now at 88 slowing down due to bad knees and a weak heart.
Myself I studied martial arts, ice raced motorcycles and ran off-road, was a fireman for 10 years, worked
as a on-call mechanic for 14, and still working with my sister’s farm at 62… I’m tired LOL.
The cracks are already forming. ‘Inviting’ the Dogishuan ambassador with a
full security team will send a message that the grass eaters don’t play by
the rules any more. Not even superficially. We’ll see how that will impact
the worlds still on their side. More importantly, these are only the grass
eater’s ambassadors. While they may delay in the hope to get some good news,
they will have to report to their superiors sooner or later.
Meanwhile the Cats have a seat in the council. Even if the Dragons abstain
again, if those that voted for them stay loyal, the Cats now have a
majority on the council.
Some people just can’t accept change both story lines will show that and they both will
regret trying to fight that change. Kev Ian’s ship hasn’t had time to return I can’t wait to
see her reaction to THAT news lol. Much less the reaction to her ill-thought out order!
Both the grass-eaters and these bat people have lost a huge amount of their clout/power
and just don’t know it yet! Which was the Catian’s/Terran’s plan all along…
I had the same thought and that is my all-time favorite song too lol.
Well that and “she’s got legs, and knows how to use them!” ( I hope
so it’s be sad to see a pretty gal crawling around!)
LOL sorry couldn’t pass that up!

Jim’s having a bit of trouble handling it, too.

I had very long hair until it started to fall out and had to shave it bald.
None of the people around ever said anything negative about the change.
I went through the same thing the only comment I got when I started to shave my head was from

I agree on the helmet laws. I will always wear one, even when I venture
up to South Carolina. But that is my choice.
I do now but when it was enacted I wasn’t happy about it I went with a full face one,

About the human nature part: Some people have less choice about
fitting in and being accepted as “normal” than you and me do.
That too is a fact.
Oh, I’ve had my share of problems with fitting in and being accepted as normal.

Kitty never really fit anywhere. So she made a world to play in…:o)
You fit in just fine here.
We’re all a little unusual.
Come play with us!
purrr, lol, thanks
