Okay, sorry, but I’m lost here for both sets. I went back to see,
but I couldn’t find where this all happened. I’m old and sometimes
have CRS. Actually most of the time, so says the wife,
but what doe she know? Ha

      Where what all happened?
The slaughter of his family? Monday.
      Patience, Paul. Patience.
The drainpipe was a joke reference when Rag Doll and Patches
were in the hospital waiting for Rag Doll’s arm replacements.

“Rules are for people with no imagination”
Miral pretty much takes that to heart.

Panel 8 – I’m assuming his family were among the people
that moved to Lapordia (sp?) when all of the mining rigs
were appropriated. Rather than tell the truth, the government
told everyone they’d been murdered by the bunnies.
Gotta admit, that’s a pretty good recruitment incentive.
A total lie, but, hey, governments have been spreading BS
        propaganda since time immemorial.

Or he could be talking about the first group of miners
that invaded. We never did get a clear answer as to
their fate. Either way, if it was the first group, they
opened fire first. If not, he’ll switch sides faster than
light! “My parents are alive? You’re lying!”

I thought it was a reference to RD&P. And I am assuming
the Shitbat is a victim of his own government’s disinformation.

I have a hunch who he’s talking about, but I won’t say it in
case I’m wrong, or if I’m right I’ll spoil PC’s twist.
Let’s put it this way; the core and Motha LOVES to tell lies.

I’m glad to see Miral is awake and ready to go, but going for a
ride so soon? That’s gonna smart! The last time I tried to ride
after my accident I was in so much pain I nearly passed out.
Damn SS had crappy suspension, I guess. Granted it was
her belly and those .380 slugs most likely barely entered her
stomach cavity, it’s still gonna hurt.
A lot of muscles in those abs.

I guess I don’t have a choice, my doc put me on a new
med called farxiga for my diabetes, it’s basically a
water pill that’s also makes my kidney flush out excess
sugar while protecting it from it. I’ve been on it almost
2 weeks and I’ve started feeling kidney pain. It’s been
getting worse. I’m calling my doc Monday, but if this gets
much worse I may have to go to the ER. I’d stop taking it,
but it says that’s a bad idea and speak to the doc first.
All I know for sure that it makes me have to pee more
than double as often. And it is helping to lower my sugar.

    Scarsdale –
Physicians’ offices normally have colleagues as On-Call types.
Sounds to me that you should not wait –
give your MDs’ office a call – STAT.
The On-Call doctors should be reachable –
    Please, OK?
If that is not doable –
this old RN says a trip to the ER is needed ASAP!
There are just too many complications waiting in the wings.
    thnx, Ned

I get that, but I don’t trust ER doctors. Too often
I’d go in for a kidney stone and they’d just take an
X-ray and send me home to see my family doctor.
It’s how my cancer was found the first time, but
they didn’t tell me or my doctor, they just left a
simple note in my file that he didn’t notice until
the day I went to see him. They found evidence
of the tumor from 2 years before it had almost
spread. I passed 3 stones during those 2 years
And no one said a thing about it.
        There’s a med-check in the next town, I’ll go
        there tomorrow.

Thanks Ned, I’d go to the ER, but the only good one I know
is almost an hour away. The med check is closer and I’m
just cutting out the ER bill, they won’t admit anyone unless
they are literally dying. Last time I went to the local hospital
was during the co vid scare, they knew my heart was
skipping beats, they just gave me aspirin and sent me home…

I thought I might just have a colon blockage and decided to
take my colon cleaner instead. It helped a tiny bit and my doc
got back to me a little while ago. So I’m going in to the ER
after I grab a quick shower. I’ve got to call my cancer doc and
kidney doc first. It’s funny, I had to get old to have an
      actual “staff” heh….

    Warning: Politics ahead.
I’ve been watching the LA riots. Interesting stuff.
Tom Homan should announce that California is too dangerous
for his agents, so he is cancelling all enforcement efforts
in the state (Oregon and Washington as well)
and withdrawing all ICE assets from those states.
Let the West Coast deal with a sudden influx of
    Every.
    Fucking.
    Illegal.
    Alien.
    In the United States.
And not let Illegals be counted in the census.

Note: I am not anti-immigrant. Legal immigrants.
      America needs immigrants,
if for no other reason than to remind us just how
valuable citizenship in this great nation is that
some people will give up everything just to live
      and work here. Legally.

        June 9, 2025, 09:42 | # | Reply

Neither am I, since my father’s family were immigrants.
But from what I’m hearing these so-called riots were
started by professional rioters that go from place to place
starting them up for those few that want to display a
dislike for whatever government actions. Just like any
criminal getting shot or the Jan. 6th “riot.” All staged.

        June 9, 2025, 20:11 | # | Reply

I know I am in a TINY (one?) minority here.
First, rioting and violence just plays into the hands of your enemies.
It lets them paint you as criminal rather than outraged.
Burning a driverless taxi is not a good look for getting basic justice.
But, as a Californian, if all the ICE assets were removed tomorrow,
I would do a happy dance and celebrate with everyone in Fruitvale/Oakland.
ICE isn’t targeting dangerous criminals by going after Day Laborers outside Home Depot.
They are meeting an arbitrary and cruel quota set by a politician in DC.
Last week a decent guy trying to do the legal thing,
was picked up at his meeting with his immigration officer and arrested.
This is a welder at the local winery.
His kids and wife are citizens. His kids go to the local high school and junior high.
People in my community are MAD about this. we are farming/ranching/science community.
The people ICE has been going for are workers in the restaurants, workers in the fields,
        they are home care specialists.
The people waiting for day labor outside of Home Depot are members of the community:
their kids go to school, they pay taxes and social security
(which they won’t see any of if they can’t become citizens.), they harvest the food we eat,
they roof our houses, they clean our houses. We need these people.
–So everyone wants legal immigrants. Illegal immigrants want to be legal immigrants and,
yes, citizens. WHY, oh WHY are we making it HARDER to be a legal immigrant?
Immigration reform isn’t just kicking out the bad ones.
It is about making a system that lets the good ones in.
I’m guessing nearly everyone here can trace their lineage back to an immigrant.
Mine came in the 1920’s when we didn’t have a real immigration system.
Let’s stop thinking every person who came who looking for a chance is a drug dealing,
        gang banging rapist.
And let’s start having a bit of compassion for the people who risked everything to get here
and do what all of our ancestors have done before – make something of themselves.
America is Great because America Always (somehow) remembered the words etched
        The New York entry point.

I don’t watch the news (got enough depressing stuff
in my life without looking for more) and so was not
aware of the riots in L.A. No matter. Those nitwits de-
serve whatever happens. Homan did the right thing.
Kali wants illegals? Okay by me! They can have ’em
ALL for all I care! No skin off my nose!

Same here, most of what I’ve heard is from YouTube
shorts and the news my father watches. Btw, I

Fourth try. We’re in one of the top three metro areas in Oregon.
But our side of town is quiet. Always (well, except for Dec 31/Jan
1 and Jul 4). If there are problems, it will be downtown. I have
to travel to get to work, but that’s pretty safe. I can see the local
cop shop from my office window.

Our daughter, not so much. She lives in L.A. (her husband’s
choice, not hers). They’re two blocks from Crypto stadium, which
is currently surrounded by FBI, keeping rioters out. Though they
are ready to bug out, if it comes to it.

I hope she’s ok, during the co vid riots we never seen anything,
but the thing about riots is the population has to be high enough
in the area for a large enough mob to actually do anything, a
city needs at least 10,000 population or better for it to work.
Few people to actually want to riot, in many cases it’s more about
looting than destruction. Plus, a riot tanks the local economy
        and most people know it.

They were all in the trash because I’ve blocked the word “crypto”.
It’s commonly used in spam comments, so blocking it blocks a
HUGE amount of spam. Anyway, if you want, pick the one you like
best and I’ll delete the other three.
I try to only block words that aren’t common in normal comments.
