The Pegasus AI is, of course, named Edward.

Ah good, I had hoped this would happen. Dumcan will have
time to grow up and be a man while Mistrial will struggle to
fix the oops. with luck, he’ll love it enough to not care. Then
Dum can go back to Dun…

I’ve seen many depictions of Pegasus over the years, this
has to be the first time the wings were over the rear hips,
although I’ve seen a few that were on his forelocks. I have
to say, this will have an impact on the people, seeing an
angel riding in on Pegasus, only to find out while she looks
the part, that ain’t no angel! well maybe the one of “bad
things, very bad” if you’re “naughty!” More so if some
ass starts to nit-pik the “Peg” and he replies “oh Fuck You!”
    Then Terysa pulls her sword…
(gotta love the “horse’s ass” joke.)

I had to leave room for Terysa to sit.
Behind the wings would have been unpleasant.
      And hidden her from view.

Since the pegasus is almost certainly getting its lift from
grav generators (as those wings wouldn’t do it and would cause
more wind than a helicopter’s gyro if they could), the wings
are ornamentation and guidance. Putting them slightly aft of
center would actually help with that, like the vanes on a dart.
        In this layman’s opinion.

Pegasus was a mythical creature, born by “Poseidon:
Pegasus is a winged horse in Greek mythology. He
was born when the hero Perseus cut off Medusa’s
head; he sprang from her severed neck, fathered
by Poseidon.” That’s what goo gle says…
Anyway it mostly used it’s wings for take-off assist
and to glide, as the godly power made it float. Even
the Valkyries have been depicted as riding them.

That’s the original. D&D and many subsequent games have changed
the common usage so that pegasus, medusa, gorgon, and a few other
words, when not capitalized, refer to creature types, not specific
beings. (It’s funny this spell checker know that about medusa but not
pegasus.) It also doesn’t know alicorn, which is a winged unicorn. (I
think we can thank My Little Pony for that one.)

Actually, if memory serves, an alicorn is the term for the horn of a unicorn.
MLP seems to have hijacked the term for their “pegacorns” or “unigus”,
              pegasus/unicorn hybrids.

You got it. It has grav generators in both shoulders and hips.
Terysa has one in each shoulder. They all face up.

Actually, if the grav generators can be adjusted to minimize the total mass of both Pegasus and rider,
then actual flight could, in theory, be possible… With a LOT of programming and training.
If nothing else, they need to actually LOOK the part, so, the correct flapping motion, landing stall motion,
and general raptor style wing behavior, integrated with the horse body “musculature” would be a good idea.
Or, the dragon fly partners could just project the appropriate (expected) motions into the targets’ visual
cortex, replacing the actual flying motions as needed. Personally, I’d go with the programming and training.

On a side note; how the heck is the dragon fly telepathically communicating with the Pegasus and Treysa?
I didn’t think they could project their mental images into android brains.

I figured as much, since I always thought that the
ones I’ve seen them in both cartoon and stop-motion
movies and thought “How in the hell does the rider
NOT get the crap beat out of them?” I’ve been hit
by turkey and goose wings, they do leave a bruise!
Even chickens use their wings in a fight.

Yup. The six originals are very close.
None of them would let another AI be Terysa’s mount.

I’m glad to see they have both matured and their
personalities have come out. Arron must have
unlocked their minds so those two clowns screw-
ups weren’t permanent. They clearly had leashed
their minds to be so obedient. NOT cool.

    >I’ll talk with him as soon as I can get a day off.

mmm, the longer it is put off, the more chances for
    misunderstandings to propagate :{

While it would be better a face-to-face conversation,
perhaps still should get some form of message to him,
    sooner than later.

The only reason I was hoping he’d go to the Legion is that
it would make a man out of him, instead of the problem he
was. I went through the horny meat-man stage too, but
      grew out of it quick.

Seeing the first two androids we met in new bodies renews my hope
that eventually the shipboard AI will have access to “shore leave
bodies” they can check out to temporarily enjoy the sights of a port
while their ships are in as an organic would. Of course, given that,
we have to think about AI covert ops slipping into ersatz versions of
whatever natives they need to spy on this mission…
