The Imperial Navy we’ve seen is all space or atmospheric fighters or light
bombers. Does the Empire or any of its constituent kingdoms have a
surface/subsurface navy like the one Cissy was in. I guess the first aliens
to join after the Cats, the amphibians whose name I forget, likely do.
Romania probably doesn’t have much of one.
Edit these if you want, Rob. Move the first one down to reply to PC if
you can. If you do delete the first line of the second one and remove
this one altogether.

Ah, good! Ishmael has a chance to use his skills for the good
rather than the evil that was demanded of him. He may not be
as good as Kathy or Mala, but he’s more than good enough
as a trainer!
Oh boy, they are REALLY sticking it to Duncan, even when he
confesses, it’s ignored. Lucky for him it’s not real, but the
death penalty or the Legion sounds pretty good to me! Make
him earn the valor he so pathetically tried to claim.
He needs to go through OCS. That’s why they’re being limited to
worlds with training bases only.
Basically, Cats and Dogs, Bunnies and Rats.
Depending on what field he wants/qualifies for.
Cats are all fields.
Dogs are small ship operations and construction/engineering.
Bunnys are carrier operations and fighters.
Rats are medical.
Catia is where senior officers and noncoms get advanced
training for fleet operations.
No, I figured he’d have to go through Imp-navy training and OCS.
If for no other reason to find out he’s on the up-n-up. I doubt
he’s a plant or anything, but it’s best to be sure of his loyalty.
And packing his brain full of the RIGHT way to fight a war, not the
BS they crammed down the throats of those morons Ishmael was with.
I doubt the cats need that kind of training he showed during the fight,
but I get the feeling the Buns were mainly peaceful but they seem to
be really good at guerrilla warfare, so hand-to hand and stealth actions
for combat would be a help. (101 ways to kill a guard QUIETLY)

New theory. Duncan and Carrie are in cahoots, the whole thing was a setup.
Whatever they HOPED to accomplish was blown up by Cissy and Mistrial.
And they aren’t very good at it anyway; the barkeep (Steven?) is hep to
Carrie and will report to Angel.
Hmm. I wonder. Doesn’t matter here because Ishmael and Selah will be
leaving Islam, but in this storyline where the most direct path is through
wormholes rather than through normal space, would a Muslim turning
his fact toward Mecca to pray turn toward the wormhole he entered his
current local space from, or toward wherever Sol, or the Milky Way, or
the local galaxy group is in his current sky? That would probably have
to be pointed out to him, if it’s even known. (But then, so is the direction
to Mecca on our current spherical surface.)

Fell through my rotten porch, got back from the Doctor’s
