Seems she’s the de-facto leader, so odds are she’s more worried
about the fine print than anything.
You really can’t blame her or any of the other people we’ve seen
so far, they’ve gone from a “eat or be eaten” world to one that’s
actually being the case. Any post-apocalyptic world would be
like that, you do what you must to survive. Now to suddenly meet
a group that you’ve never seen before, that tells you (without
being asked) that now you’re a member of, it’s natural to think
that you’re a slave now. Or something much worse. Normally
they’d be right, but the Empire is trying to make the world(s) a
better place, a piece at a time… And making a profit for all at
the same time. But the ones that WANT all the money and
control, hate that… (I’m looking at YOU, Motha/core)
“Because they know what they’re doing”. Reminds me of a story
I tell sometimes about my old martial arts instructor.
(Hey, Korean war vet, he was old in 1974.
Still would want him on MY side in a scrap.)
I hear that, mine wasn’t old per-say, but he was in his late 20s,
Korean as well. he was so fast his arms and legs were a blur,
Bruce Lee level of speed. I could faintly make the “wooosh”
sound, but I never did blur my movements. I started in late
1975, I had to quit in ’84.
