Karen, relax, it’ll get hard before it gets steady. (notice I didn’t say easy;) )
Time and effort has it’s rewards, which I’m sure you’re going to find out.

Ah, they are sticking to the training part of it all, and the Sgt. is right,
nothing teaches faster than the real thing. You learn real quick if you
don’t look at your opposition in the right places, look them in the eyes,
you get a leg sweep… and so on…

New keyboard came, so far it’s great.
Keys are a bit stiff, but it is brand new.
I need to figure out how to set the
back-light color, it keeps rotating right now.

Maybe it’s time to declare that all else has failed and RTFM. 😉

    There’s “The Picture”.
    Then there’s “The BIG Picture”.

To lift the new citizens into becoming
    productive and thriving.
To train the recruit noobs into
    becoming blooded and experienced
    Imperial Marines.

Hmmm… I think Karen is thinking “But I’m just a kid, you’re better
suited for this” I think we all know if Minka didn’t think she could
handle it she’d be looking elsewhere. That’s the one thing above
all else about PC’s vision and the Empire, age is not a limit unless
you let it. If an 11 y/o could make money recovering lost tackle
    and digging worms, I’m sure a 14 y/o could start a business…
With education and sound advice. If I had known handling lead
    bare-handed was a bad idea….

Well, I have officially outlived my Mother. She passed about a
month before her 73rd birthday. I have made it to mine. I guess
I am working on my dad now. He made it to 77 and change. I
figure I’ll pass him about Thanksgiving of 28th. With all the
crap going on I’m not sure I want to go that long.

It’s always hard, My mother was 80 when she passed,
My father is still going despite his heart. We’re a stubborn
bunch I guess. I don’t expect I’ll do as well, it was kidney
failure that got my mother, and my demanding they save
mine was to buy me time. They don’t do transplants on
      cancer survivors.

My mother was 79 when she passed in July of 2001.
So I have a ways to go (7 years, in fact) to match that.
On the other had, my previously unknown father died at about 62,
so that’s not encouraging. My wife, however,
will not likely beat her mother, who was 98. Even her father,
who did everything you’re not supposed to do, lived to 92.
