Wet clothing sticks to your body. Which means
anything that normally protrudes from said body
will appear to protrude further, when the clothing
is sucked in closer. Panel 7 she looks taller than
Ethan because she’s standing on a step, and he
isn’t. In panel 8 she’s shorter than him, by about
the same amount as in episode 1249, panel 7.
Yes, but her natural tan suddenly disappearing? I would SERIOUSLY
doubt the loss of that much melanin in her skin from a very caustic
soap. The hair, MAYBE. The skin? Not so much. Even biowarfare
cleaning agents wouldn’t do that. Having experienced it as part of
my training, I can attest to that. If anything, her skin would be
redder. And you don’t simply pull on the same, wet u inform after
a shower, especially as it would need laundering. It would take more
time to rinse it enough to be even semi presentable, than simply
swap for a clean one. But, if PC says it’s Teresa, well, he’s the writer,
and you Can’t really argue that. (And that mud? As thoroughly
soaked into that uniform as it was, it reminds me of Arkansas mud,
and that can be a real bear to get out of any clothes, as, again,
I learned on a personal and quite annoying basis…
There are a few ways to bleach the skin, but they don’t last.
But if you think about it, Michael Jackson proved it was
possible, he had the same skin pigment issue that Larissa
Walker has, and got sick of dying himself, so he bleached
away his skin pigment. Which lead to his multiple plastic
surgeries because he “looked weird”. I don’t think it
helped much….
I just compared her hand in panel 8 with her hand in panel 5,
strip number 1230, both blown up to 500%. Panel 8 of this
strip is actually a bit darker. And we haven’t seen a
closeup in good light of her face yet.
About comparison, take TGW1258p7, the last ‘pre-plunge’ pic we
have of her and then when she exits from the bathing facilities…
I’d say that she has changed uniform, different
‘spot pattern’/colour ‘nuance’ (?).
Could it be a softer cloth, giving same effects as a wet uniform.
I agree that getting the uniform she ‘bathed’ in clean enough to
use without a trip through a washing machine would be unlikely.
That and all the talk about industrial strength soap having the
effect shown on her hair and NOT having a similar effect on her
uniform, hmmm…
But I’m not PC and in and between we get surprises from that front
The only thing I changed about her uniform was to make it
darker, so it would appear wet. You can wash clothing by
wearing it in the shower. It’s a pain, and you have to finish
by taking it off for the final wash/rinse, but it can be done.
