I’m guessing the contract addresses that as well. Not allowed to
teach being the same as being fired, or something like that. Or
something else. Albrect’s not as smart as he thinks he is.

AHA Walker is about to drop the other big boot.
    A shoe is too small.
In the case of Capt’ Flink as Holmes would say,
    “The game is afoot Watson.”

I was thinking high-water waders, but boot works too. They sold
their souls for a quick buck, we all know how that ends!
Only the hell is one of their own making… Johnathan isn’t the
devil, except to those who deserve it 😉

Whatever they forgot about the contract and Walker is about to
bring up, he still owns the building and can enforce the full
rent or cancel the lease. Just as he can enforce the full salary.
Just paying him two dollars a month would still be two breaches
    of contract.
So, even if they can adjust the budget, they still would have to
explain why they are paying a teacher a full salary, but don’t
have him working or why they suddenly need a new building.
There is no way they still come out as winners of this.
Aside from what Walker pulls out next.

Also, accounts hidden from their spouses? Oh boy.

Silly, stupid man… Do you honestly think you’re in control here?
That Johnathan didn’t think of that? The exact phase was “As
long as I am employed here” so it doesn’t matter if he’s fired or
quits, you’re all are liable (that signed the contract). Even
Colonel/General “Toilet-floater” wouldn’t of been as stupid and
cock-sure of himself (well… maybe). And try to hide funds from
the government and spouses? Did you want to get caught? The arrogance!

Looks like we all were right, they all jumped at the offer, and were
even hopeful to include all their families in this! The peons and
middle-management are more than willing to jump ship so to speak
after the way the core’s greedy policies have done them all. It’s bad
enough to cheat the ones you have bullied all these many years, but
to cheat your own people as well? Yeah the war won’t last long and
we may never see a shot fired!

Slight quibble, PC. The pix from the meeting room in the ship
in orbit are great, BUT. Stars would not be visible. As brightly
lit as the room is and as bright as the day side of the planet
is stars would not be visible. You as a photographer know that
as far as a real camera would be stopped down stars would
not register on film or a digital imaging system. I’ve watched
enough of Dave McKeegan’s videos debunking flat earth nut
jobs to know stars are very faint. One of the flerfers points
“debunking” men going to the moon is that the stars do not
show up in the photos from the lunar surface. Dave makes
the point about the cameras being stopped too far down for
the stars to be visible. But it is a minor quibble. Carry on.

I agree Bill, but how else could the average
reader know they are in space?
I used to love laying on the side of a hill
(as a boy) and stare up, I know all
too well how hard it is to see anything with
      light pollution everywhere.

Are they stars or bright spots on the planet?
The edge is round suggesting a planet.
I also think some is a reflection as it penetrates the room.

They’re stars. No question. In panels 6, 7 and 8 you have the planet
towards the left side of the window and the stars to the right. In
between is the clear curve of the planetary surface. Nope. Stars.

Drat! Now we have to wait until Wed. evening/Thursday to see
Jonathan’s plan unfold. Looks like it’s going to be several more
days before we get to see the full flower of Jon’s plan unfold.

Sounds like the Core Worlders are going to go all in on a genuine
colony on Bunny World. Hope the island is more like the size of
New Zealand. Otherwise it could get crowded in a hurry!

“In my travels I have learned much about this new empire.” Looks
like the Empire is building a reputation and it’s a good one. That
will help when the feces impact the wind machine. It will be
interesting to see Capt Flink’s plan.

Careful Capt. Flink, don’t try any core double-talk on the Buns,
they’ve already had a taste of it. You don’t want to wreck this
nice deal you’ve had handed to you all.

Well it’s been 60 years. 60 years since Lee Harvey Oswald
assassinated President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. 60 years
and to this day I can close my eyes and assume the body
position, see the sights, hear the sounds and even smell
the smells from the moment I first heard the news. I was
in the 7th grade. I was at my locker getting the books for
my afternoon classes. Some guy told me Kennedy had
been killed. I told him that was a bad joke. He said it
was no joke. My next period teacher confirmed it was
true. I have 3 such exquisitely detailed memories. One
is of the Kennedy assassination. One is of when the
shuttle Challenger exploded. The third was when I saw
the 2nd airliner fly into the WTC. Ought not to be such
memories. Ought not to be. I hope I don’t pick up
    another one!
