None of us should. Comments are open to any subject, BUT:
Only the politics of the Wolf World as they come up in the story.
I want people to enjoy the comic as much as I want to enjoy the comments.
That’s the pleasure that I get from creating this world, and I don’t want my
own enjoyment to become less.
Politics, religion, and the environment, unfortunately, are too polarized. There’s
no middle ground any more, and I don’t want you readers standing on either
side of that gulf.
I apologize for letting it happen. No more. Thank you.
(back to the story)
Sounds like the ‘cruits are getting into James Bond 007 espionage training.
By the time Amarinth and her professional dinner mates are done,
there will be no Joy of Sex (rimshot).
Stuff that not even Ian Fleming dared tell us at the time.
And as much as I enjoy the movies, I enjoyed the books just as much
– more realistic.
(There are still some lines I throw out from time to time,
“He disagreed with something that ate him”. Still sends me into giggles)
I read a book many years ago I can’t remember the title off
hand (I might when I stop thinking about it heh) but the MC
was named Remo and his master taught him the very same
techniques. I remember him complaining it ruined sex for him!
The master was from an isolated part of Korea (hinted at ninja’s)
that were paid assassins. They made a cheesey movie based
on the book I think in the ’90s only reason I watched it, didn’t
do the book any favors :/
Judging by the reaction of Taritha she got an “ear full” from
Teresa over her jumping the gun and going without Teresa’s ok!
Ahh,,, the beauty of autocracy. Treaties can be agreed to without
compromise and without the challenges of ratification. The Wolf
Empress has a great staff and solid advisors and has shown wisdom
and compassion in success. The empire’s success rides on her
statesmanship. Methinks the Core is about to face a nasty fur fight.
I can’t agree more the P’tera were another one of the core’s heavy-hands
like the Dogishuns and that option is now closed as well. The Shitbats and
the Grasseaters may actually have to do their own dirty work!
Might be a fight but a short one…
Ah, Dragons you did pick the right people for the job….
Found the book I read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remo_Williams_(character)
It says it was written in 1971. I read it in a paperback version. The Movie was
called “Remo Williams: The beginning” and it was low budget and weakly written.
I’m sure James Bond had the same training I never read any of those books
now I’m regretting that!
I wonder if Taritha will be required to stay as an Ambassador? Would make sense…
Don’t get me wrong I did like the movie just not as well as the books.
I still can’t believe they had of all actors they had Tony Randall as Remo’s
master or “sunseng”, Chuin. I’ll give him credit though, he did a great job
of doing the roll!
When we were in Germany, my wife and I knew a prostitute. She was in her 50s,
and looked like an attractive businesswoman. She was also very expensive.
She told us that most men didn’t care as much about sex as they did about intimacy.
They wanted to be with an educated, interesting woman who would listen to them,
who would pay attention to them, who was good company. The men paid a fortune
to spend time with her, often but not always a full night.
Often people just want someone who is good company.

Sounds like a parallel description of a traditional geisha (from what I’ve read).
An educated person who will serve you dinner & drinks (may even make both),
listen, discuss, entertain. But not necessarily bed you.
In most places where prostitution isn’t entirely illegal there’s
usually a certain variety of different sex-worker jobs.
Usually the ones that offer plain sex are the cheapest.
Actually, Geisha were more on the order of a paid companion. Prostitutes were
part of the Japanese referred to as the “willow world”. A Geisha was a highly
trained professional companion. They did not come cheap. Considering the facts
surrounding marriage among the nobility, it makes sense that a man of means
would seek the sort of interaction most of us get from our spouses. I figure
it’s that sort of thing that was also why well-to-do European men had
mistresses or supported courtesans.
For a few years I was living in a very, very, very cheap hotel. The other half of the house was taking
up by a brothel self-run by the prostitutes. The house had two entrances, but one parking lot. In
the parking spots of the other half you saw expensive cars every evening. I’ve never asked what
they charged but they must have been expensive. Sometimes I could get a peek inside when they
aired the rooms I could see that they were dedicated playrooms.
This sounds like what I’ve read/seen (trailers) of the 2018 flick
Jennifer Lawrence made titled “Red Sparrow”. But, yeah, it looks
like the story is getting into serious JB 007 type territory.
Re the off limits topics: the discussion got spirited but it didn’t
seem – to me – to get rancorous. I didn’t chime in because I didn’t
think I had anything distinctive to add. It does appear to me that
our modern society as a whole is extremely polarized. I will keep my
belief as to the genesis of that polarization to myself for amity’s
sake. To paraphrase an old aphorism “Left is left, and right is right
and never the twain will meet.” {sigh} More’s the pity.
OT Health update: My health does seem to be improving if at a glacial pace.
A guy I know who works at Walmart told me yesterday that I’m looking better.
Not sure if it was coming off that med or drinking one or two Boost nutrition
drinks a day or a combination of both. Anyhow I don’t feel like I’m gonna die
any time soon. I still get very uncomfortable being up. Now if the medicos
could get my wife’s health sorted out. Her folks lived a good decade longer
than mine so she ought to be a shoe in to outlive me but I’m not so sure.
Good to hear! Hang in there as well as your wife, they gave mine
5 yrs if she didn’t get a lung transplant and it’s going on 10 now
so here’s hope and never trust any doctor’s deadlines they are
rarely right.
Yeah, I generally don’t spend much time on my computer over the weekends, and by
Monday morning it had already gone past the point I felt like I could advocate a position
OR be a voice of reason. But I agree with Bill, it never got as bad as I was afraid it was
going to. I disagree that left and right can’t meet, if you ignore the fringies. Open
discussion between people that are willing to examine their own positions and WANT
the Truth more than to hold those positions can bring people together. Only, my
experience is that it often works better in private between two without the pressure of
a public forum.
They can. Sort of like our current Navy SEALS.
But they would be transferred to a regular Marine unit.
No one wants to let the team down, and they were
carefully selected for this training to begin with.
I can just imagine them committing the act to the best of their ability,
only to have their pillow talk be a calm critique of their
performance with suggestions for improvement.

At least the women aren’t nuns with wooden rulers.
I don’t think it would ruin the fun just make it harder to find
a partner that’s on the same level as them. As well as the
emotional connection. It’ll make little difference to the Catians,
they don’t have the same physical and emotional connection
that humans have.
Well, I did my civic duty. We’ll see if it was worth the effort in a couple of weeks.
I tried to be a good little CO2 conscious citizen and rode my scooter (old man’s EV)
the 2 mile round trip to the polling place. Got there around 1400 and the place was
actually fairly busy. All the positions were full. It was still busy when I rode out.
Not bad for the 2nd day of early voting.

Remo Williams. The Adventures Begins.
was made into a movie (1985).
I recently looked that up and discovered that the original book
series was called ‘The Destroyer’ and went for 153 books.
I was quiet surprised about that.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Destroyer_(novel_series)
I read the first part of the series, but when one of the authors (Murphy?)
left, it became less enjoyable and I faded out.

Joel Grey as Chuin. he spent 4 hours in makeup..
I thought there was more than one cat in that training group?
There are. These are 4-man classes. Intimacy, y’know.

“Is it too late to un-volunteer for this?”
In my humble opinion that is one line of
work you always should be able to opt out.

i mean it is in the top 3..
1) maid {french} 2) nurse 3) nun..
That’s what the advanced course is for:
