Petercat,
There is another cartoonist who write stories with a solid Libertarian mindset. Things like your road ownership concept.
Would you mind my posting information about his stuff?
This is your house, I don’t want to offend my host.
I don’t mind at all, as long as he will allow you to post a link to this webcomic on his site.
I follow the platinum rule, “Do unto others what they do unto you, only with style.”
Catman, when I read Dan’s comment I suspected that he was referring to DBD. If so then you well know how Muir feels about mentioning any other comic at DBD. I referred to TGW once and hot my hands slapped severely for it. That was part of my later decision to abandon DBD permanently. Muir’s high handedness stuck in my craw. You at least do things with a fair amount of flair and je ne sais quoi.
Check your email. I might have discovered a way t let you hide walls on interior sets such as what I am designing and building now.
No, DBD is anything but Libertarian. He’s gone full Trumatarian
The group of cartoonists call themselves Big Head Press. I highly recommend a graphic novel, available for free on their website, called The Probability Broach. The go into a lot of ‘nuts and bolts’ of how a Libertarian government and society would work. I think you guys would get along well.
They have a running strip, I’ll post a link to TGW there.
Okay. Scott Bieser’s work. Used to read it every day but the current story just didn’t appeal to me so I.stopped reading it. Not sure if Bieser will allow a reference to another, ” competing” comic. Catman’s pretty liberal – in the classical sense – but that is not the case with everyone. My suggestion? Post a blurb at Bieser’s place and see if/how he reacts. While I would not expect him to go full on Muir, it would not surprise me if your comment simply “disappears”.
Oh and ” Probability Broach” is an adaptation of L. Neil Smith’s work. I read the books a few years ago. While the small “L” libertarian in me loves Smith’s stories the innate cynic/pragmatist in me strongly doubts such a system could actually work in the real world. I believe that most people are basically bipedal sheep who would gladly exchange any amount of liberty for even the most transparent illusion of safety. Franklin was totally correct in his assessment of such folk.
It would take some catastrophic event to ‘Thin the Herd’.. Maybe some sort of global pandemic? I hold that society as we now know it will collapse, and those who cannot or will not take care of themselves will not survive the first few months.
The license plate on the Triumph, “ERG-028”. Was that just a random selection, or does the ERG stand for the unit of energy/force? (I leave it to the discerning reader to research, I’m not going to copy & type the definition).
That was the license plate I once had. My girlfriend’s response was “ERG? That suits you.”
I’ve changed the numbers, it was on an Austin-Healy Sprite with a built GM 2.8L V-6 that kept trying to kill me until I sold it.
Don’t put 200+ HP in a go-cart, and really, really don’t add nitrous.
The best part was that it looked stock, wider tires = more traction = blown differential.
Not the bug-eye.
How did he earn it? When his character first appeared here, all Bill did was post a comment “Hey, guys, I’m in a webcomic!” with a link to the page. Chris sent him a nasty response and deleted his comment.
A long time ago, when you left a comment on DBD, your name would be highlighted in red as a clickable link. Chris updated his page to stop that. It wasn’t hurting him, he’s just a jerk.
I don’t mind links to other webcomics or websites here, why should he?
Also,, at Gary. Happy Birthday belated.! 8/1
Thank you, Rob!
8/1, Kajim? Coincidence! Mine’s 8/2. But I suspect very different years. I was born in 1951. You?
Happy Belated Birthday also.!
Happy birthday Gary. Many, many more.
Good explanation of “insurance”. Thanks. Probably costs less then Gooberment mandated insurance.

Petercat: For what it is worth.
Mullins Earned his slap down. He should let it go. No one else cares or remembers.
