So true, I’m sure there’s a special night that may happen
for the both of them very soon, unless there’s some ritual
they have to perform first… Interplanetary cultures are tricky.
Just like when my wife and I moved in together,
the pure thrill of it needed to pass first. Once
they are through the honeymoon stage they’ll
just bask in the afterglow of love. 😀
Ah, that explains much. That does make some sense, the
Howlers have what looks like the thermal pits like rattlesnakes
have. And that explains the pitchforks and torches, not
plasma rifles.
I’d love to hear that conversation, Abraxis nearly soiling
himself over the news HEH. Just treat her right kiddo,
she love you long time 😉
It also explains the difference in clothing mores I had remarked on
earlier. Different nation, different culture. All of those protests of
“Who the heck are you?” may have been genuine. (Since most of
the practical reasons for clothing are outside, a culture that is never
exposed on the surface may have discarded them as impractical.)
Gonna try and tell us caves aren’t cold, or wet, or all the other temps we wear clothes to protect from?
Or that we don’t wear clothes to protect from incidental injuries just as much as weather protection.
It’s always fun being scratched the fuck up by everything you brush against.
Never more serious injuries prevented by simple cloth armor. Which is what clothes are.
not all caves are ,, cold and wet,. all most all maintain an even temperature.
2 variations on caves,. below ground (example in Denver ‘5280″ anything below that)
above ground ( example Cave of the winds,. opens at 8100 feet, so , above)
and,, the deeper you go the hotter it gets…
clothes were a means to protect from weather,. and then status.!
most cultures wear less,. it was boorish Europeans that said you had to ‘cover’
and as a kid (in the summer) i found less was better,. getting play clothes tore
up on the first day was bad ,. and really didn’t protect that much. so most of the
summer was a ratty pair of shorts…
You pictured a subterranean but spacefaring culture as living in
caves? I was picturing massive underground labyrinths, cities built
excavated spaces, with finished walls and an elaborate ventilation
system.
And sure, protective clothing is needed at times. If anything, their
skin looks more fragile than ours. And we never saw mechanics
or the like aboard the station and haven’t seen anyone planetside.
Whatever their equivalent of industry and agriculture may require
clothing on the job, but their sexless (or unisex, naughty bits hidden
inside cloaca, we don’t know) anatomy doesn’t.
Very true, they might even have thermal vents from
the mantle for heat, removing the need as well. At the
very least it also makes it harder to infiltrate, I can
guess the maze of tunnels having so many defensive
points everywhere.
They might be like the Batoss, brave until they don’t have the upper hand.
I think Katrina may have instilled the “fear of the Mistress” in them heh.
I know, I was pointing out the obvious 😛 Bad habit, I know.
Panel 8 – Mate? Already? Wow! Things move
fast on that planet. Of course, if the Emperor
says “So let it be spoken, so let it be done.”, it is
done.

The Prince finally got some control of himself.
As Sherlock would say, “Aha the game is afoot.”
Wrong continent.

Which is one reason the away teams just left messages outside.
