Ah yes, hubris has now been deployed! I doubt this
low-level brain power has never been faced with defeat
before, much less paid the price for stupidity. There’s
a reason Katrina was insulting you, and you sealed
your fate by your actions Admiral.
Oh boy, please don’t blow up Meten, use that speed
you’re gifted with! I get that baby needs formula, but
that’s pretty high risk to all. I know some helo’s use
99 octane fuel, and after watching a street car’s
manifold going through the hood of a street car, that’s
very dangerous stuff!
Damn flu season, with how exhausted I’ve been, I’m
down sick again. Spent most of today in bed. chugging
Dayquil and Nyquil. Thankfully I had plenty of left-overs
so they could eat, I can’t right now. I just hope the
wife don’t catch it.
The “demons” put me in mind of the scifi novel “Childhood’s End”
(Arthur C. Clarke) (1953).
Earth is “invaded” by the Overlords, who appear as Earth’s most
ancient collective memory.
But in the end, you find out that the Overlords are messengers
to be pitied.

“There’s always a bigger fish” To quote Obe-Wan, Slavery might be
a way of life in the GC, but I’m sure there’s an “Overlord” that’s
above the slavers.
And so on. Just like in the core, it was the corporations,
not the counsel that ran the whole thing.
I suspect the GC was behind them.

I hope Katrina has sufficient means and training to defend herself.
I wouldn’t doubt if “Admiral” Greanada were to attack her personally
in a pique of anger.
(poor qualities in one given charge of leading large numbers of personnel)
He was calling for security, he was counting on big-n-burly
to do the dirty work. I have little doubt that Katrina can
put up a good defense as well. I’m quite sure Katrina hit
the nail on the head as far as the Admiral’s true state, a
pampered rich kid, wanting to the big-n-bad when in fact
he’s a coward when there’s no one to do the actual fighting.
Just a whiny rich bitch cry-baby.
I don’t remember if anyone else has said it, but it occurs to me
that Katrina may be (serendipitously?) the best possible person
to be serving as Imperial Envoy here. Her emotional detachment
seems closely analogous to that of the Admiral here, so she can
more easily than most humans anticipate his reactions.
I’ve been saying that she’s perfect for the job, she can’t be insulted,
intimidated, or manipulated. And is “happy” to be brutally honest
when needed. Plus she’s able to fake a good normal, like Flea. And
she can read people like I read this comic 😉
Although as worn out as I’ve been,
most likely with greater attention 😛
The Admiral is getting a lesson in tactics,
he never had/needed before.
Will Meten come out unscathed?
Inquiring minds want to know.
I lost my dragon.
Got it back.
Was your dragon draggin’?
ouch, that one hurt me…
😛
OUCH, did that hurt?
It made me picture your dragon, being dragged by his tail,
while his dragon balls were draggin’… (wincing) and I
made it worse…
The lesson is: don’t poke the tiger while the cage door is open.
Or in this case, the T-Rex. Either way, both bite, hard.
