Judging by the Chapter panel, I’d say Charles is heading for the navy,
IF he keeps his grades up and his nose clean.
After loosing 140 ships and crews to the Empire, I doubt the visitor is
on the side of the remaining core. If that ship was the Elves, we still
don’t if they are friend/foe. But looking at the chapter panel, neither
of them were mad, more like having a pleasant conversation.
After 4 machines and several days of fighting, I’ve got one 10 liter
machine that hasn’t coded. It’s not what the prescribed her, but at
least I can go to bed and stay there (I hope) until morning. She’s ok
with 10, but she’s limited to the bed, bathroom, and kitchen table.
I started making calls at 8:30 am and didn’t stop until 11 am.
To her doctor, the oxy provider, and to the tech guy. I now have
18 full 12 lbs bottles of oxy, that alone takes a load off.
They tried that, she’s on 12 L, so their idea was to hook up
2 10L machines set at 6, would give her 12. what NONE of
them thought about was back-pressure. You can’t feed 2 1/8
ID hoses into a single 1/8 in hose and not trip both machines
out with codes due to the 15 lbs of pressure fighting one
machine or the other.. So I ran 2 hoses to my wife, and used
a Y connector on her nose piece, they still tripped out. They
were trying to make a pair of middle-o-the-road machines
do the work of a heavy duty one. I talked to her Doc’s office,
they are trying to get the provider to buy a machine, my
wife seems to be one of the few at that level that’s not in ICU.
I talked to my cancer doc about this, by all rights she should
be in hospice, not at home. But she wants to stay here and
not rot in a home. I don’t blame her, I’d go with her, but I
can’t leave my father, no one else close by that can deal with
him, so I’m stuck. I’ll talk to our case manager, see if she
can point me at the right door.
These machines are making oxygen, not just pumping air.
I wish it was that simple. They have filters inside that “eat”
the other gases, mainly nitrogen, and then compressing it
a bit. Think big fish tank pump, only with a baking soda
looking dust in cans the air is pumped through.
I just got a call from the doctor’s office, No one can give us the
machine she needs, so her current provider is looking into
getting one. raising hell does seem to work, if you yell at the
right people 🙂
I’m dreading the rental fee’s, but if no one can “fix” her, she’s damn well going
to be as comfortable as I can make her! And give her as long as time as possible.
I’m actively doing “normal” things with her, like flirting and hitting on her like
I have been for decades, trying to let her feel normal.
I’ll try to get her to visit us here, maybe it’ll let her feel better having support.
She’s gotten shy in her golden years, I suggested it and she got defensive.
but I will keep trying. She’s not a big comic fan like my father and me,
but I have hope. she does look, but won’t post… or she did, I suspect to
see what I was up to heh.
(sure hunny, I’m having cyber-sex with a bunch of retired military men…)
sigh…
I’ll keep after her about it. I just talked to her and read to her
what you guys said, she says that she can barely type or use
vox due to her tremors… basically she’s shy and scared of
embarrassing herself is all. I’ll see if I can get her to sit by
me here and I’ll type for her if nothing else. I’ll talk to her about
starting an account. I won’t do it without her ok, I won’t force it.
Ha! I said the same thing, she’s just gotten bad about that
being self-conscience about it all. She would sit next to me and
read, remember those times I joked about her hitting me
for a joke? That really happened. As far as I can figure, she’s
so frustrated and unsure of herself, she expects things in
general with “strangers” to be the same as in school.
Unfair? Yes, so I won’t push, but I will keep after her.
It’s not spelling issues for her, it’s about her aiming for G
and hitting L. She get so frustrated. On bad days she
can throw food at the wall or catch it in her hair. I’ve
had to feed her more than once.I had to glue her laptop
stand down and use sticky patches to hold it in place.
She’s on her 3rd laptop and 5th mouse. Talking is the
same, bad days she gets mad and refuses to try.
I honestly thought it would be Parkinson’s that would
take her, not her breathing. I’m stretched guys…

i changed O’neil (Marine) to Charles (son)…
and can’t you run two machines at 7/8 to get 15.?
and feed into a single hose,. or maybe one hose
left, other right…?

I keep wondering if a Tesla valve would work?
Or even if there is such a kritter for air in a hose?
It works with liquids.
Maybe air?
Forgot to add…… Talking about the inventor,
not the car. Big diff.
https://www.bing.com/search?q=does+a+tesla+valve+work+on+air&FORM=HDRSC1
yes it works on air… and is free 3d printable…
i tried,,, won’t let me move the files..
found on thingverse & printables…

You know she’d be welcome here.
She’d certainly be safe.

Well I’ll be damned, I fully expected the filter would have gotten me.
What PC said.
like you, she’s more than welcome.. 🙂
and IF given a time frame, i could actively be here,.
so you could step away,, knowing she’s watched…

no prob, not pushin… just options.
has she seen how some of us type.??? o.0
i would say i’m worse,. but spell check fixes it..

“Try to GET HER to visit” and *actively* sigh…
I did get good news today, in 6 months I’ll be changed
from a cancer patient to a survivor. one more visit and
he’s going to cut me loose…
Panel 5 – Bedside gun, 2.5-3″ revolver. Nice.
