Wow, the merchandising is something else, is that Miral on
the air fresher hanging from the mirror? Cycle wars huh, I
see groups riding through our area all the time, do you think
    anyone would complain if I used a mini-gun? 😉

Welcome to the Dragonfly club ole’ boy, you’re not alone.
I like the fact this removed any doubts for the Terran’s,
but I agree, Imperial ships are so different from the core
design, it’ll take a few months to clue them in on
everything. And who knows, maybe by then the Imperial
fleet will include a few FTL ships 😀 That would clear up
any doubts by Motha and their bought officials would have.

core ships… FTL only,. the empire has had and refitted
core ships, so,,, the only ‘new’ would be the FTL,.
oh and extended drive missiles.. (but that was a add on..)

I seriously doubt the Imp-navy will use those ships without MAJOR refit.
More like reverse-engineer the drives and install them on a few heavy
frigates. I have little doubt grav drives would rip up a core ship up in
combat. The ships aren’t designed to be pulled by G-drives, but pushed.
Most likely any FTL Imperial ship would be a totally new design. I think
some long range scout ships would be the first off the line. At least now
we know that the gates aren’t jumping universes, just locations.

in the story, the Imp takes the core ship, refits, gives (trades) to allies.
Imp has done this with lots of ships… SO… the only new is the FTL.
still haven’t talked power source,. if that is a long term useable..
FTL drive – ‘if useable’ make it a generic bolt / clip on,. so any can use.

True, 140 heavy class ships minus the FTL drives would
be a big help. I was just saying the Navy has no use for
them. The navy would have to change the structural
frames to handle the grav drives, they have thrown away
core ships in the past because of that. For the MM they’d
just update the fusion drives and add small grav drives
for maneuvering thrusters. Oh and update their defenses
and maybe add some Toby bays.

    I don’t know why they’re hunting bicyclists,
but maybe it’s for the same reason that
    John Wayne is doing this….LOL!!

HA! I do have a beef with those preppy a-holes around here,
they act like the ENTIRE road is theirs, one tried to snatch my
mirror off after I blew the train horn I had on my truck 😛
All he managed to do was take a spill 😉

My elderly stepfather was hit by a bicycle courier on a sidewalk
outside a building in downtown Denver. He was injured enough
he spent about 3 weeks in the hospital and had some permanent
injuries. The insurance claims and damages bankrupted the
bicyclist and almost did the same to the courier company he
        was working for.

I can believe it, after that 19 y/o ran down my son and
he had to get stitches on his lip and eyebrow. It’s not
the normal riders that’s an issue, it’s the preppy types
with the pricey suits and helmets riding bikes that cost
more than a cheap used car…
I had a VERY close call, this idiot was riding on the wrong
side of the road and expected that I would see him when
I was turning with the traffic that he was riding against.
Acted like In was in the wrong too.

PC, in TGW-577 you made a comment that the Dragonflies were the closest thing
to Elves in your stories, you still have new races to introduce us, why not Elves?
They are typically stand-offish, cock-sure, and disinterested in the “lessor races”
and their politics in almost every book I’ve read, they’d make for an interesting
challenge for the Diplomatic corp. And definitely better looking than the orcs… 😉

Well, today’s page is ready to post.
You’re about to find out why Minka is so obsessed with this particular group of cyclists.
    …
I have been plagued with problems lately, from my main computer random glitching,
(I’ve switched to my old backup computer).to a stream of power outages that last
just long enough to wipe out my work, to heat waves that my computer room AC
can’t keep up with, to my own respiratory illness that has dragged on for two weeks
    now. (Finally getting better).
Thanks for your patience, I’m going to work on building up a buffer this weekend so
as to not have any more missed updates.

compy:,, no help there.. UPS:, besides the power supply, i have a portable tool charger
      inverter. https://www.amazon.com/Inverter-Battery-Generators-Converter-Outdoor.
since i live in hell (100+ most of the year.) i have 2 battery powered, ice block,
portable AC’s,. and finally, do you put sanitizer blocks in your AC.?

I have four UPS, the biggest one (APC 1500 + 1500 add-on pack) needs new batteries.
I also have a gasoline inverter generator that can safely power a computer, but by the
time I can get it out and running, the power failure is usually over.
Case in point: Just had a power blip that shut down my computer, lucky I had just saved
my work. I really need to replace some UPS batteries.

If you need to run a generator/inverter combo, I
suggest running the power through an UPS to
smooth out the power, like a buffer. Most inverters
aren’t full wave, and can cause problems to electronics.
I ran into that with my wife portable AC/DC oxy
machine. We had to give it up since she’s on 6 liters
now the highest any of those only go to 5 liters.

Probably lose power for the third time today.
At least tonight’s page won’t be affected, Rob will catch the update.
