    “And grab the cat.”
    “Now where are my gloves?”

    Not her first cat rodeo.

Cat’s know the “gloves” they aim for the
tender flesh above them HEH! Gauntlets
are the only way, and a heavy leather
      breast-plate/apron. Oh, and a full face shield…

The last time I moved a cat, I had a leather
motorcycle jacket, gauntlets, a full face helmet,
a heavy cardboard box, plenty of duct tape and a handgun.
One way or another, that cat was leaving that house in that box.

When I had to remove that feral stray from the chicken
run I used my Carhart coat as a net to contain it, damn
thing did some damage to it, but told me what my hands
and face would have been like! That crazy cat was one
of the few I had to put down, it was like trying to pet
a wet, pissed-off bobcat! The shelter would have if I hadn’t.

About froze my butt off waiting on my
sister to bring the cage for it too!

I expected they wouldn’t be able to pull the sword yet.
And I see why they choose that family, the Dragonfly
knows her! That alone is a huge “tell on” the type of
people they are. That is true, the killers and warlords
always fight for control, they all want the power and
the right to decide on the peons lives. It’s not about
“religious purity”, just who gets to shake the big stick.

Yep. answered my fret about maintaining the dual
sensory input while the kids moved the sword.

    ‘GO TO EGYPT!’

    (sure sounded familiar…)

Yeah it does, I hope this brings on
      an enlightened future for them.

Kinda reminds me of Sodom and Gamorra,
the way they are being warned to
    depart as soon as possible.
Hope nobody gets turned to salt…

Heh, not likely, more like ash and soot. The people that follow them,
not so much. I’m sure that Terysa clamped down hard on the sheath
and locked her hand so they couldn’t pull it, there’s much for those
kids to learn. Besides, I doubt that sword was real, mostly setup to
convince those kids they are destined to greatness. The Islamic
belief system relies heavily on the old Muslim writings, so to break
the cycle they have to re-write their way of thinking with a heavily
religious series of events that play into those beliefs. The Quran
does talk about an angel delivering a message, (gads, it’s been
decades) and that message started Mohammad on his quest,
much like Moses and the burning bush. So this could easily start
the whole thing all over again in TGW.

I’m not sure deifying *anyone*, even Teresa, is a good idea.
Ever read the STEN series by Alan Cole and Chris Bunch?
And the Eternal Emperor never called himself a god,
just came to think of himself as such.

Well, with the significance of the Passage of Time, as time passes,
Teresa will never come to think of herself as God. She has too
many friends willing to gleefully point out that she is, indeed,
          merely mortal.
Especially Dagger, in the significant passage of time,
          as time always passes.

I have GOT to stay away from the internet for a few more days!
