new ships? Unless they got a entirely new type of drive, newer shielding,
a way to block the jump-lag, or the FTL drive rears it’s ugly head once
again… We do have confirmation of the plan to attack the Empire, now
what? (maybe someone found a way to get past the “Zipper”?)

That is highly unlikely. The Empire has built their grav tech to be as
close to impossible to reverse engineer as is possible. My guess
is that the Core Worlders are utilizing some propulsion and weapons
tech they’ve had up their sleeve for a while but hadn’t needed to
implement before. But doubtless it will make things harder for
Imperial forces in the coming war. One hopes the Lopes will make it
to Bunny World in time to get a message back to Catia and Terra
in time to allow the Imperial Space Navy to go on high alert. This
would be a perfect case for that comm network I outlined last year.
The Empire needs faster comm than what can be provided by
fast packet ships. Even a programmable message torpedo would
be faster than any crewed vessel. Electronics recovers from a
wormhole transit faster than biologicals. Plus a message torp
could be fabricated to withstand G forces forces that would
turn a biological to goo.
This new tech is on the drawing boards as yet, which is why they need the resources.
And you figure the training time for the new ships, it’ll be at the very least a year from
now before they have a decent fleet. Much less the crews. That would give the P’tero
time to nose around the navy intel folk to do some digging as well. A new tech is only
good when it’s not known to your enemies… The core still doesn’t understand the
Imperial’s tech. So this is the best they can come up with.

Remember the races of the Core and most if not all of the Outer ones were
spacefaring while the Terrans were (re-?)learning how to nap flint. (Like the

Earth we know has been left hazy, and that is best for the story.) But I’m
reminded of a bit I just rewatched from the Star Trek Enterprise prequel
series. The Vulcan ambassador mentions that it took them 1500 years to
progress to space travel after leaving internal wars behind. It took Earth
about 150. And that worries them.
Question for PC or Mr Stanley: Do you know what HTML tags
this message program will accept? I would like to spice up
my posts with more HTML but don’t know what all tags this
message software will allow. I know for sure it can use bold
and italics. It would be nice to know what else.
Attention 3D users: I know there are a couple of denizens of
this place who need/use 3D resources (Scarsdale? PC?) so I
wanted to share a resource I discovered yesterday. NASA has
put a crap ton of 3d models, textures and images and visuali-
zations up for anyone to DL/use. I’ve been looking at the 3D
models available as well as the textures. I’m wanting to take
the renderings of my poor modeling to the next level and so
plan to use what I find there as I can.

Help! Suddenly YouTube is getting pissy about my ad blocker (AdBlockPlus).
Okay so I turned it off for YouTube. NO DICE! So I UNINSTALLED ABP. STILL
NO DICE! Does anybody know how to make YouTube happy again? I use it
frequently as a resource for how to do things in PSE and for other things.
Most recently I used it to find out how to change the batteries in the remote
fob for my wife’s Corolla Hybrid.

fine:
AdBlock; Adblock for Youtube; Adblock Plus;
AdBlocker for Facebook; AdBlocker for YouTube.
I never get YouTube ads when watching movies or other videos. Not
sure which blocker works when, I just know what results I get.
Yeah it was working fine for me, too, until it wasn’t. It
works okay in Edge (which I only have because W10
won’t let me uninstall it) but even with no ad blocker
on Chrome YouTube is shut tighter than a miser’s
purse.

They can’t live without the customers – we can live without them. It might
hurt us a little for a while but in the end it will hurt the ones behind Youtube
more. If I NEED to see something, I use my tablet and put it face-down while
the unwanted stuff is playing alternatively punch the life out of the SKIP-zone.
If enough potential customers boycut them/cut down on usage they’ll ‘see the light’.
It is after all NOT their deitygiven right to harash people with unwanted/irrelevant ad stuff.
I use YouTube mainly as a resource to find out how to do things I
need/want to do. The fobs to my wife’s Corolla hybrid started generating
low battery error messages. In short order I was able to find a video on
how to swap the batteries. There are also free tutorials on doing things
in Photoshop that help me in texturing my 3D models. Otherwise I only
follow a couple of content creators. I like to watch Curtis at Cutting
Edge Engineering work repairing large equipment like bulldozers and
other machines. He is just a pleasure to watch working on the lathe or
the mill or welding. It is a pleasure to watch him work. I also like to
watch BigstackD melt metal. And I like to watch memes on Johnny B’s
channel. I can still do that on Edge or the tablet I’m typing on now. It’s
just so bleeping aggravating.

started in on me for using an ad-blocker so I disabled it before the 3
day time limit the nag popup stated was up. Then I seen a statement
that YouTube was stabbing themselves in the foot over this and they
dropped it. I turned both back on and now nothing. Were you getting
that warning or did it just lock you out?
It’s official, the core is throwing out the treaty and is going to war. It may be
only the Shitbats, but one race can cause enough damage to gain support
from others if they gain the upper hand long enough.
Much depends on what these new ships bring to the table, and the yet-to-be
introduced remaining core races are involved. I know I mentioned a race of
demon-like people, but there’s so many different types out there, like Morbo
from “Futurama,” an aggressive, big brained type that like to talk big, but
never really do anything. Or a race of plug-uglies that are really good at war,
but little else. (the Pacleds from TNG) So many angles, so little time…

they would be following it and it’ll be a full war of everyone
