Guys, I’m dealing with Western Digital service people about a defective SSD.
It’s certainly much easier than that time I had to deal with Seagate customer non-service!
I’m going to either buy a replacement, or request one in lieu of a refund.
Now if I could just get the same service from the idiot who built my new computer.
Oh, wait, that was me. Nebbamind.
Because that’s not really her, it’s an android pretending to be her.
Kidding, I don’t know what happened. Her hands picked up a gloss
somehow, they look like wax, don’t they?
I had heard there was a height limit in certain areas of the military,
some aircraft, submarines, and the early days of space flight. It was
mentioned during the early days of Wakonda too, when the Com locust
had dropped in they warned the commanding officer to watch his head.
I’m glad to hear that the P’tera want to police the other’s in
the core, that’s been needed for centuries! Like it or not,
the core policies are about to change.
It’s going to be close, but I think with the build-up the Empire and
friends and the core thinking they have the upper hand, this war is
going to be months long and ugly. Since every conflict that has
come from the core so far, they’d be stupid to not do any kind of
upgrading or preparation, but if it’s been hundreds or thousands
of years since the last war, they just might be dumb enough…
Only PC knows….
It may noy be a case of “dumb enough.”
Consider The Constitution, Boston harbor,
the only wooden hauled sailing vessel still
in service in the US Navy.
If your entire navy was made up of similar ships,
how long would it take to get it ready to
fight against today’s navies?
That’s only about 250 years.
I get what you’re saying here, I was just saying that if they were acting like
the humans did, confident in their superiority, not bothering to run full crews
and upgraded much is the way of their ships armament, they might try to
start a war they weren’t ready for, like the USA did in WWII, we nearly lost
that war.
It was shear luck that we beat them, as well as they stripped much of the
resources from the general population. The core has been doing that for
centuries to the fringe worlds, so they can’t expect help from them.I’m just
saying it won’t be cut-and-dried as they seem to think it will be, if Slimy is
any indication.
I doubt the war will be over that quickly; the first world war on earth
lasted four years and the second world war lasted six. I expect it to
take about five years (comic time) and consist of two phases; a long
trade war between the wolf empire and most core worlds for control of
the fringe worlds; and a shorter official war beginning with the
abandonment of the inter species mutual defense treaty.
I have to agree depending on the core’s tactics, if they attack at random
various member Fringe worlds the Imperial fleet will be hard pressed to
defend them effectively. Failure to do so could cost the Empire members
and their tech to be stolen. P’tera can only do so much at this time. The
question of FTL is still out there too.
It might actually be the wolf empire that finds it is on the back foot initially.
From what PC has revealed so far the wolf empire has about 50 warships
plus an unspecified number of armed freighters.
The core has a limited number of warships used by their enforcers such
as the hammerheads and from captured ships we know they do not have FTL
capability; but they are also not part of their war fleet which is
rumored to be scrapped or mothballed at an unknown location. Now if the
core war fleet is actually FTL capable and contains several hundred ships
then even with basic level 1 armaments and shields the wolf empire could
find itself in trouble just as General Custer did at the battle of Little
Big Horn. Especially if the core fleet is being modernized at a
secret base only accessible by FTL drive!.
Of course, if the Wolf Empire intelligence agencies are as good on the
Core worlds as they are on Earth, then an Alpha Strike on the mothballed
Fleet, shortly after hostilities go hot, could be a deciding factor.
If the core has moth-balled their FTL fleet it’s still the same problem,
they have to man and train the crews and give them an upgrades
that they are missing. This is basically a space race, who can get their
fleet’s up to speed the fastest. And getting them out of the gate first
won’t determine the winning either. It’s been long proven that tactics,
not numbers, that sets the winners in any war. Numbers help, but not
always the only factor.
The wild card in all of this is the Dragons, we don’t know much about them
or what they would do if the core decides to attack. And they might have
FTL themselves! A single scout ship equipped with the P’tera stealth could
easily get intel on any and all core worlds, with their ability to teleport etc…

BUT.! the most important part. the Catians / Empire has showed the others that
they “DO NOT” need the core.!!
and they (core) are already suffering a ‘loyal manpower’ shortage. so…
even if they have ships,, who crews them.???
are the new ‘crew’ even trained on the new ‘tech’..????
That’s what I was talking about, the core thinks they have the situation well in
hand and they DON’T. The only thing holding them back is treaty and the lack of
intel they have on the Empire’s might and and intentions. It’ll takes months if
not years to mobilize their fleets and fully man them. Not to mention the necessary
upgrades to any moth-balled ships. Meanwhile the Empire and members/friends
are cranking out ships as fast as they can. To quote Tilung: “Our battle will be
legendary!” lol. But yes it’ll be rough on the Empire, at least at first.

I just hate it when that happens!
Luckily, I’m dealing with Western Digital.
In my experience, they have about the best customer service in the electronics area.
That moustache on Ambassador Oh’non still slays me.
But…..at the same time, it grows on me.
I like it. When he ever takes it off, I’ll miss it.
Why are Adm Borogrove’s hands so PALE?
They look like would glow in a totally dark room.
Because that’s not really her, it’s an android pretending to be her.
Kidding, I don’t know what happened. Her hands picked up a gloss

I somehow assumed she was wearing gloves …
Ditto, and far from the only one to make tat assumption.
Same here

Lucky Samual.
Second MOS (Military Occupational Specialty), OJT.
Not only that, but he’s beginning to realize that in this group,
his height is a plus. More later in the comic.

when i worked on the A-4 Skyhawk.
it had a 6′ foot limit and 200 pound limit,.
any bigger pilot and they would lose
parts if they had to eject.. o.0
While enjoying Kiedra’s flashback,
it hurts when remember what it is a flashback from :{

Anglo-Zanzibar war. shortest war in recorded history.
38 to 45 minutes long..
Makes me think of the Mouse That Roared.

due to spam attacks worldpress has locked the site.
so we cannot fix anything till WP fixes it.

I have been wondering if it was the dragons that set up the fall
to prevent the secret of grav tech falling into the hands of corrupt politicians.
