Yeah, but per panel 1215, 5th comment,
those scooters can do about100 mph or
more, depending on tires.
(Yeah, I went looking, since I
remembered asking at the time.)
That middle one looks like a high-end
1950’s Vespa, restored or a replica.
The white one to our right looks like
a slightly newer one and the
bargain-basement model. on the left
is a current scooter. Neither have turning
lights. I’m hoping for an 883 harley,
it’d be just right, fast but able to cruise.
? the 883 an 1200 are the same bike…
the 1200 is bored out for higher performance
base 883 544lbs, base 1200 489lbs… o,0
my custom has addons, so 550lbs…
Oh I know, they just put bigger jugs and pistons
to match. the 1200 sportster was a MEAN sport
bike, while the 883 would top out pretty quick,
the 1200 would surpass that. Your bike would
have made my Goldwing 1200 (if i had bought it)
seem like a family van heh. 😛 While your bike
is like a Z28!
No I didn’t. Most of what I know I was just curious about
the engine stats and not so much about the history. I was
a mechanic through and though 🙂
I was always crazy about fixing things, I started auto and
bike repair before I had facial hair heh. It was hard to make
money at it though, “Your just a kid!” was what I heard
most of the time. sigh… I had to give it up when a guy
asked me to fx one of those Cadillacs with the switching
engine, you know the ones that would switch 4, 6, 8 between
cylinders on demand automatically? The horribly bad
design that would fail because the tech wasn’t up to it?
They would randomly switch the cylinder count at the worse
times, like dropping to 4 while you trying to merge to
an expressway. the engine had more hoses than an early
jet engine! and it was the controller that failed, I just
didn’t understand much less have the tester/computer
needed to do anything to fix it. Which lead up to me
working at the motel…
Interesting reversal on a classic (the Greeks had a similar
saying) trope. Should be interesting. I’m sure Teresa trusts
him about as far as she can toss a locomotive.
Seen one of my doctors today, me like a dummy asked for
some straight answers. I DO have cancer, just unknown
how bad or if it’s spread at all as yet. The PET scan is a dye
injected to make my lymph nodes to “light up” in an X-ray
so they can stare at it and look for tumors. IF I need
chemo, it’ll either be IV infusion, or that fun pill I took
last time. Guess I’ll need a skull cap wig and a black marker
so I’ll have eye brows… LOL 😉
My last treatment was one of those, I was a “test case”
that paid off! I’m worried but at the same time I know
Lymphoma is one of the first cancers that they cured.
It’s been caught early enough I’m pretty sure it won’t
get too bad. I most don’t have any symptoms yet.
Just tired mostly.
On the lighter side, we were talking to my god-daughter
last night, bless her heart she found some old pictures of
us back from when we were married and with our kids
as babies. Thank you Connie for saving those (her mom),
we lost a lot of pictures when we moved. I love seeing just
how lovely my wife was, and how much life she had in her 🙂
My wife is still alive, it’s just with her illness
she’s just doesn’t have much energy and her
“fire” is about out. I try to remember days
gone by with her, as I’m sure you do with
yours. I didn’t intend to make you sad Jochi.
You didn’t, no more than normal.
It’s been nearly four and a half years.
Not counting the horror leading up to it.
If any of you or loved ones are on dialysis,
learn about calciphylaxis. Hopefully
though you will be luckier than we were.
Looks pretty darn human. How did Teresa recognize him as what
he is and not a shapechanged dragon? She apparently believes
this “trick” is within their capabilities as well.
I would guess it was maybe her “dragon spirit”, but her eyes are
still human. With the suppressor that’s quite a long rod to pull out
of hammerspace without even unbuttoning her jacket. She’s good.
And nice finger etiquette.
I think so too, Both Teresa and Kathy have shown before
they have an extra sense, empathy or a mild telepathy.
They can tell when someone is lying, so I’m sure the raw
power he has is like a flash-bang to her mind. I don’t
doubt that Mala taught her the trick she uses to carry a
sushi kitchen’s worth of hardware 😉
I suspect the fact that everything but her and the guy were
frozen was a clue. Teresa is a smart cookie. And, as Jochi
suggested her “dragon-ness” might have tipped her off.
I would, however, like to know how Mr Stanley knew that
Teresa’s visitor was Loki.
Did PC include that with some notes?
He actually doesn’t have a body, he’s “wearing”
one for her sake. If she did kill it, he’d just make
a new one or “fix” this one in a second. If he’s
anything like the Loki from mythology, it would
be a very.
bad.
idea.
But to be honest,
I think much of mythology is really just horror stories,
to scare the kids and the stupid.
When Kaatar was talking to Viktor waaaaay back when
Chirk first appeared,
he mentioned cHulu(?) writing a book and the stories
about him because a “indiscretion” with a married woman…
It’s official, folks! That body of water due east of
Padre Island and south of the mouth of the Mississippi
will henceforth be known asthe b>”Gulf of America”!
We are well and truly living in strange times.
I could go with the Gulf of the Americas.
It would be more accurate than Gulf of Mexico.
And it’s not like maps and names aren’t changed
all the time, anyway.
Trust me, I used to teach World History,
and I gave map tests on every unit.
Most of those maps from 50 years ago are
unrecognizable today.
so as Cissy says that in the last panel…
passing the 3 like ‘scooters’…

mines a 1200 sporty…
Lucky dog, I can barely hold up the 250 Honda 🙁

did you know: that the sportsters were made to
compete with British racing bikes of the 50s…
No I didn’t. Most of what I know I was just curious about

Teresa looks like she’s about to eat his soul!
But I think this is going to be a pat on her
back with suggestions on top 🙂
I am utterly delighted with the chapter title.

That’s rough, man. Keep us in the loop.
Was just reading that fantastic new treatments for cancer are on
the verge of existence. I hope it wasn’t bogus click baiting.
My last treatment was one of those, I was a “test case”

*mostly*
Thanks guys, I’m just trying real hard to not freak out.
And I’m hoping the “three strike rule” won’t apply here…
Damn sir, please keep us informed.
We can only give moral support.

I know what you mean. Old photos of my wife are both precious
and hard to look at.
My wife is still alive, it’s just with her illness

To be honest, I was more worried that my kidney
cancer would come back. I’d have no kidneys and
like I said before, I’d miss being able to pee 😉
*able to pee*
sorry guys I’m distracted
not paying attention.
😀
*we were JUST married*

Arg!
I hate it when I leave out part of a sentence like that!
Heh, don’t feel bad Bill, I do it a lot, PC and
Rob have pointed that out to me too 😉
yes “notes”… i was going with Huehuecoyoti…
but PC said Loki…
>It can’t hurt me.
Well, think of the fresh holes in your
chest as a clue you pushed too hard :}

ARGH! *Indiscretion” Damn Autocorrect you moth…
(censored due to explicit content)
…er don’t go changing anything without asking first!!!
pant pant pant….
“moth” and “er” are not the same word!
I need a Xanax….
;-D

Jingoist and Bully are not terms I want to see
my country earning. Arrogant I don’t mind,
especially if it’s demonstrably deserved.
