Terysa’s dragonfly, eh? Hmm. Could be that Svetlana’s not on the
up-and-up in her rape claim. Or she totally could be, and there’s
something else, like she’s really Teresa’s long-lost Russian 3rd
cousin four times removed. Or, she’s preggers, or . . or . . or
Panel 5. Is that Terysa’s hand out of focus at the bottom of the
frame, appearing to grab Svetlana’s chair? There’s nothing there
in the next frame, nor in Friday’s comic.
Ah ha, I was right, Miral doesn’t understand the
culture. Or that refusing such a offer comes at
a cost. I’ll admit, I was shocked too, it made no
sense to me as well! To me, honor is how you
treated your fellow man, not how well you
kicked ass. The looks I got and the stern words
I got got back then was unexpected…
Hmmm…………………………
1) She’s pretending or that she’s imagined it all.
2) The cab driver was mistaken and the hospital
didn’t pick up her drug habit.
3) It’s a man trap and she’s mad because he
didn’t fall for it.
4) I’m a cynical old man with issues. 😉 😛
I considered seppuku a likely outcome if Miral rebuffed her and she
was as serious as she seemed. I hoped Miral would know that on her
own –stupid of me: she’s not Terran. But I hoped for a path that
would let Shimizu find redemption during her lifetime.
Did you see that the man that built it was also the
first to be put in it? A prime example of what happens
when the wrong type of person is in control.
The outfit that provides my wife’s oxygen had sent a
letter to us demanding the return of the equipment
and tanks to them due to a lack of payment. In fact
I had just paid it up in full and only received this
months bill last week. So I called them and made it
clear that it HAD been paid up and was not past due.
The lady I spoke to agreed with me but spoke to her
supervisor and they agreed. The woman I spoke to
couldn’t stop apologizing! It’s very rare that I had
that much success when dealing with bureaucrats…
My wife has gotten so bad that if she does without
oxy for more than 15 mins her level drops to 72%,
95-90% is the safe level…. Normal is between 96-99%
They made a note in my wife’s file that this happened
and would be on the look-out for the error again.
I saw this on one of Nick Freitas’ cups and had to share.
Americans:
We’ll cross a frozen river to kill you.
In your sleep.
On Christmas.
Just kidding. (We’ve done it before.)
As a twenty year Veteran, I don’t believe in horrible executions.
I’ve seen too many instances of Islamic terrorist executions to
ever want a civilized’ people stoop to their level of depravity.
Same for the atrocities committed on innocent Ukrainian civilians
by Russian Orcs. Instead, strap the rapist to a chair, give her a
9mm or the weapon of her choice and have her enter the room
behind him and put a bullet into the back of his head. A proper
execution room would have a slightly concave floor with a drain
in the middle of the floor for easy cleanup. If she couldn’t do
it herself, I’m sure there would be plenty of volunteers. If not,
there’s always the firing squad. Knowing of the atrocities
committed on innocents by gangsters and crime cartels to
terrorist, I’d have no problem with pulling the trigger and
sleeping well. I have too many images of the horrors committed
by monsters who have effectively removed themselves from the
human race, burned into my mind. Those are the things that
sometimes wake me at night, not the humane act of mercifully
taking the life of a human shaped monster.
Remember who is speaking – a young girl who was recently raped and
doesn’t remember the details. Teresa wouldn’t allow it, anyway.
The only horrific Imperial punishment is crucifixion,
and even that is limited to the venal, not the monsters.
Pretty much just treason, where the execution of one would convince
others not to chance it.
For crimes of psychopathy, where the execution would not deter others,
it would be a get-it-over-with form of execution.
This reminds me a bit like the events on page http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-071/ during
the Marauder trials. The cook Mindy and the
chubby guy Tom? Only Svetlana wasn’t in on it.
There wasn’t any mention of any samples having
been taken either. He might have been pressured
into doing it, but did nothing other than let her
sleep it off and called her a cab.
Panel 3 – ties back to episode 1335, panel 4. From Jochi’s research,
if Miral didn’t take the sword, it could cost Ahmya her life. THAT was
the worth he was referring to.
Yeah, considering the flak I got when I asked
what the big deal was from my Sensei and
another student I looked into it. VERY little
info on it back then, and TV/movies are
NEVER reliable sources. It wasn’t until the
late 80’s before I got any info, it’s like it’s
a nunya subject, and the only info was the
dramatized crap in the movies. It’s a sore
point for me now, since I had to give it up,
so forgive me if I stumble on it.
(nunya = none of my business)
Plus, it could have done bad things in Miral’s mind as well if
Ahmya had taken that course, once she (Miral) realized her
part in it. Best to not even think about going there.

And, the Cat sayeth nothing . . . .
My money is on preggers. Hopefully we’ll find out come Wednesday.

Friday, panel 8. Left hand.
It hasn’t moved, that’s why it’s out of focus.
Thanks, PC. I missed the hair at the right of panel 5
to show the view was from right at Terysa’s shoulder.

In P3 Miral is once again trying to merge her ears into one! Heh…
Oops P4.
Ears & eyes, both.
Ears at the peak and the crossed eyes makes
her look like a cute kitten too heh.
Shocked Kitty is still one of my favorite furcial expressions
Brazen Bull? Oh! My!! Looked it up, I did.
Yeah, that’s a bit on the uncivilized side of things.
