I had a friend at that factory I worked at that was a victim of a
fake rape charge, she cheated, he caught her, she filed charges on
him and they stuck. She went so far as to have her boyfriend put
bruises on her. Poor guy spent 3 years in jail and lost custody of
his kids, PLUS had to pay child support and alimony. Wasn’t the
first time I knew someone that got nailed like that, but his was
the worst.
YES! I had hoped they would join knowing the man power shortage!
I suspect he wanted to anyway, just wanted to make sure there wasn’t
a hidden clause anywhere. The Buns seem to be the most friendly race
to date! and with the Empire’s help, their home world might just be
normal again.
I’m glad you’re ok PC, it ran right over the area where my 91 y/o aunt lives,
She lives about 40 miles NE of Tampa. We’re waiting to see if her and her
family got out ok. My father got so worked up, I spent a few hours trying
to talk him down, she’s his last living relative so I don’t blame him.
You’re his son but she’s his last living relative?
Did your father have any children who lived?
I jest, I jest. I know what you meant.
Yeah, the eye passed a few miles from me and I didn’t see
anything unusual. It was weird. I don’t understand, Savannah
got hit pretty hard and it’s 20 miles further away. Weather
is weird. Even when the weather service said we were having
high winds here, I could look at my surveillance monitor and
the tree branches were barely moving.
I’m glad, we were all worried about you, I know it’s silly for him
to worry like this, she and her kids and some of her grand kids
have lived in Florida all their lives, I’m sure the SOP is baked
into their blood by now. His dementia is getting bad, I know he’s
going to be pissed, but I’m going to talk to his doctor about it asap.
It’s still not bad I agree, I read some of the reviews, there was a few
that stated the LEDs failed after only a few months. and I’d have to
find a warm spot for it out of the house. When that print failed and
my printer crashed, I opened the enclosure without thinking and got
a bad headache from the nylon fumes, so I’m not risking the resin in
the house.
You can also build an enclosure for it and vent it outside with a dryer hose
and a computer fan. Heck, you can make the fittings with your own printer.
I would probably cheap out and start with a cardboard box to place over it
when I was ready to start a print. Maybe with a cellophane window.
If it was just me, I’d say yes. But I have to think of my wife and my father’s health,
both could suffer if there’s a spill or just the act of cleaning the finished pieces.
I’m still awake here because that wonderful, lovely lady I married is snoring
like a horse snorting right now… and I’m a light sleeper… And SHE complains
about my snoring! Love may be blind, but it sure ain’t deaf!
(walks off grumbling)
Mine snores, too. AND she likes to lie on her left side so it’s pointed straight
at me. Luckily I’m the one who’s deaf as a post. Once I take my hearing aids
out I can barely hear her. I guess that’s part of the “for better and for worse”
that we signed on for in ’72. She’s sure been good about putting in the eye
drops 4 times a day for nearly 6 weeks now.
I’m torn between wishing for both of you that you not miss that sound any
time soon, and urging you to urge your ladies to have a sleep study done
and consider a CPAP if she has apnea. It’s an issue for women, too. My
daughter-in-law uses one.
My wife can’t use one, we tried. She gets these weird panic attacks
and tears it off in her sleep. I just have to live with it. She has an odd
genetic condition, called an alpha-1 (something) deficiency, her lungs
are more like leather than sponge rubber. She inhales fine, but it’s like
she’s blowing up a balloon when she exhales. I was dead tired, stressed
about the news I got yesterday, on top of telling my son, and calming
my father over the hurricane and his sister.
Apparently one can snore without having sleep apnea. My lady
passed a sleep study last spring. As long as I get to sleep before
she does we’re golden. 😉
If either my wife or I wakes up because the other is snoring, we simply
wake the spouse up gently and say “Hon, you’re snoring.” No offense
taken. To which we each apologize, roll over and go back to sleep. For us
it’s sleeping on our backs. Other positions don’t seem to cause snoring,
but once we’re asleep, we have no control over what position our bodies
decide is most comfortable.
Normally that’s what we do, but she was so stressed out
over what the doc told me she was having trouble sleeping.
Usually I just tell her to cough, and she’d go back to sleep.
I know she’s lying about my snoring, because when I do, it
wakes me up.
Ii’m really glad PC came through the storm okay. You never really know
what to expect. When that tropical storm blew in at Brownsville last week
I figured we’d get some weather from it but nary a drop. Actually we could
use some rain here. When the TransGuide (messaging system on the
freeways) isn’t warning about where some nitwit has done something
stupid, it’s warning about wildfire danger. You can’t drive on the freeway
without going by where some nicotinic has flicked a butt out the window.
Had my 1 week checkup on my right eye yesterday and it is healing well.
I have a final appointment with the eye surgeon on the 27th. That’s when
they’ll measure me for new glasses. There’s a good chance they’ll be
able to correct me to 20/20 in both eyes! Of course that means I won’t
get my new glasses till mid October. {sigh} Sometimes it’s hard to be
patient. But we gotta wait till both eyes have settled down. Right now
I’m getting by on a pair of cheap WalMart readers. I was hoping not to
need glasses EXCEPT to read but even the 20/40 line is hard to see.
Hang in there Bill, I know how rough the first few weeks are.
The pair I have now were from CVS, a local pharmacy, they
aren’t too bad, but there’s a spot that is weak that’s near
where I look through. I’ve had the best luck with the
Dollar Store brand here, only $7, but they are frail.
Ah yes, once they get a wind of you, it never stops. I dread
that when I setup my web page for printing, no matter how
many you block, they find a way. The old HTML had so many
holes, you could strain noddles through it! Heh…
Use WordPress like I do. Most spam comments share words that aren’t that
common in legit comments, like “hentai”, “Cialis”, “Casino” and such. It takes
a while to block distinct words left in spam, but eventually you’ll find most
such comments going straight to the trash, which you can empty easily.
Ah ok, I’ll have to look into that more then, It’s been 20 years give or take.
There was quite a few “free” hosting sites back then, and fairly easy to
design around the ads they’d throw in on the pages. And nobody wanted
to pay me for it, so I lost interest.
I’m guessing that now would NOT be a good time to mention
my favorite dish (hasen pfeffer) with my
favorite local German beer (Hasen Kopf Krystal Weissen).
(LOL!)
Argh, centaurs are a ridiculous being anyway, Their technology would be
very hard to understand, while they might need powered transport, they
would just run by them selves… I just don’t see an advanced culture from
that race, if it exists.
PC has said that there are no fully aquatic races, just amphibious. I doubt
merfolk could fit in the roll unless they had legs or could morph some.
Hey as long as you are safe, we can wait.
You are more important.
Update done.
Thank-you, I for one am glad to see you back safe.
That is some wind.
And, having all his immediate questions answered,
the bunnies jumped in.

I wanted to cry, this resin printer was on a flash sale for $187

Sorry about the size 🙁 it’s bigger than the
Anycubic so it was rather tempting…
It’s $195 with the coupon. $210 with sales tax. Do you see it?
Just below the price.

Gah. Life is so busy up here that I didn’t know what all of you
were going through until just now. Good to hear everyone is safe!

Ah, PC? Mr Stanley? I have a comment that isn’t showing up.
Could you check?
It was buried between the 304 promising to send me intimate
photos and the idiot who keeps offering me hentai porn.
Ah yes, once they get a wind of you, it never stops. I dread

When Prime Alpha decides what to do, he “hops” right on it :}
(rimshot)
I expected he’d “jump” at it.
He’s really on the bounce, isn’t he?
Naa, just ready to kick up his heels and dive in 🙂
Quick like a bunny?
I’m guessing that now would NOT be a good time to mention

Not Welsh Rabbit?
That comes a close second….
by a whisker.
Could be worse, the next race could be based on a deer-like being,
and they are selling sausage…
Several anthropomorphic species but no chimeric ones so far like centaurs
or merfolk. We can be grateful for that.
Argh, centaurs are a ridiculous being anyway, Their technology would be
very hard to understand, while they might need powered transport, they

I should correct myself there, Centaurs would prefer to run than
ride in/on a vehicle. Plus their bodies would be very hard to make
furniture for.
