Off Topic, but informational, I use the Apache OpenOffice product extensively for documentation and review of Microsoft office documents, in additional to other odd formats, and to reformat plain text documents.
This in addition to correcting, reformatting and proofing documents of all types.

The best feature is that it natively exports all document types straight to standard PDF (Postscript Vers. 2/3) (adobe compatible) format.
Both Office suites are fully licensed under various Opensource licenses, and natively read and write nearly all MS Office Formats, as well as a lot of legacy file formats, and the natively reads and writes OpenDocument Formats.
The extended features do, however, require Java installed, the opensource versions for common platforms are found at: (https://adoptopenjdk.net/releases.html)
