Yeah, he knows NOTHING about the home office,
so he’s signed his own termination slip. I can’t
help but wonder how much of his BS is real only
to him, but I’m sure Mavia will clear up his “confusion.”
My son tried to do the dishes, but he doesn’t understand
the concept of rinsing BEFORE running them in the dishwasher,
So I’ll have to try again to do it. Maybe I’ll dig up some of
my old playlist’s and blast the music to distract myself.
This all felt like a staged performance for Mavia, and not for her
benefit. But I’m beginning to think it’s just plain ignorance and lack
of caring how it’s going to play out on Julian’s part and delusion on
the part of the parents. The only other possibility is that Becky is
the mastermind and arranged the performance to get the bathroom
interview with Mavia. And that seems farfetched and unnecessarily
risky. But she WAS expecting to be followed into the bathroom I think.
These ‘disruptors’ appear smarter than most of the GC races, and
not just because they didn’t halt research with military applications.
(Yes, I suspect it went well beyond just ‘weapons’.) They are trying
to read their enemies, not something the others bothered with. But
they should have started before making them enemies. They face
toward who they’re speaking to and use visual displays and control
‘buttons’ on flat screens. But PC says they are as blind as they look.
I wonder what sense they use instead and how it works.
I kinda doubt she instigated it, more like got fed up with
the disrespect and the outright lies that were being force-
fed her parents. When I got that, I’d just leave because it
was all to make me explode and give them the drama
they wanted as proof.
I suspect it’s a combination of Echolocation, Infrared, and
maybe something we don’t know as yet. They do resemble
an insectoid race, they may be like spiders, tiny eyes
everywhere.

If you’ve seen a Daredevil movie or Hail Mary, you’ve seen a
depiction of sci-fi level echolocation, and it occurs to me that
those big flat plates on the front of their skull could be an ideal
shape for just such a sense. And then it occurs to me that all
the visual-only equipment I was pointing out could also be
producing sonic data that is somehow emulating the same
thing, and the light-emitting displays are just for the benefit
of a lesser race that may have to work that station temporarily
and has to make do with the inferior optical senses it has.
Could also be IR receptors like you suggest, but more detailed
than a rattlesnake’s pits, actually able to produce images.
i know a bit about bats,.. some bats can see sound within sound..
IE: on your screen is hundreds of pixels, each time one powers on
it makes a sound,. so sound in sound… and that they can track
through (“some”) solid objects.. ground penetrating radar…
did you know: in WWII the US tracked enemy radio positions,
by tracking bats, that would circle a powered transmitter.
