Hmm. Taritha’s gift? Some of you will be
    wanting longevity to match Teresa’s.
My first thought was a dragonfly,
    which would help with that,
    but that’s a Dragon’s gift.
    Maybe one of Sleipnir’s offspring?

While that’s true, who created the dragons in the first place?
I would love to see Taritha join the D’fly club, it’d be as much
of a gift to Teresa as it would be for Taritha! If you knew your
very best friend was ill and was going to die, wouldn’t you
want to find out they might even out-live you?

Lesson #1 Higashi, no matter what job in
life you have, you are NEVER better than
anyone else. Servants are no more necessary
than having 4 forks and spoons to eat food,
it’s just showing off. Sure, during political
dinners, but not at a social gathering where
you’re friends with them. If you’re the host,
    act like it!

(Inward chanting ‘no whammy, no whammy’)
I truly hope Loki isn’t being a trickster there,
Give that sweetheart of a gypsy cat a D’fly!
Although, it looks like Loki won her over at
the end, Teresa was smiling and pleasant!

      Teresa was smiling and pleasant…
It’s always wise to be nice to an entity
who can make your sun go nova.
No matter how you really feel.
      (Honestly, she’s just adopting
      a wait-and-see approach)

I’m just saying she seemed to relax towards the end,
rather than worrying he’s going to do something awful.
If anything felt like a ticking bomb, it would be an Elder
God. I just wonder who, if any, she’s going to tell about
this heart-stopping incident. The Catains will wonder
about it after the first natural birth that goes too easily,
or an elder in their final years suddenly joining a 4-ball
game. I’ve played more than a few touch football
games that de-evolved into full contact without gear,
I can guess what the 4-ball was like 😉

I zoomed in on that device behind Teresa, it says it’s
a Codel oscilloscope. Funny that it says that but the only
thing missing from that radio I mentioned is a tape player
and a CD slot. The button we can see at the top says
power, the bigger knob says voltage. But why would
you want a tech lab item in your kitchen? I’m a stickler
    on a recipe, but that’s over-kill 😛

Scars, properly setup, with the appropriate sensors,
one can use such as an O-scope to detect Bugs and
      recording devices,
as well detecting whether or not your ‘white noise’
      masking system is currently active.
As he is rather highly placed in the espionage realm,
      and with her being Empress,
precautionary systems are very much in line,
as would be the displays placed where they can be
      checked on with a glance.
Don’t ask how I know about this stuff, I just do…

I trust you guys, the last ‘scope I used had a green round
screen and it was part of an engine analyzer. Took a while
to figure out, but it was handy. They are good at detecting
signals and what frequency they are on so a receiver can
be set to hear the signal. I’m sure this one is far more
sensitive than anything I’ve looked at.

That is mildly funny. Especially compared
to what the meeting actually was:
A school yard bully and his sycophant side
kick picking on a small kid.
      Childish!
The president, with the vice president,
embarrassed the U.S. of A. on the world stage.
This is not the first time he has done it
and I do not expect it to be the last.

I agree with nothing that you said,
but I’m happy that you said it.
This is why Rob and I run the comments
the way that we do, because is a place
for the free exchange of ideas among adults.
I do wish that you would dive a little
        deeper and explain your views.
        I watched the entire video,
and it looked to me as if Zelensky was acting
childish, and Daddy sent him to his room
without dinner. Literally. And of course,
the EU played Mommy, feeding him some snacks
        later. But seriously,
Zelinsky’s cowboy image may have impressed
        Joe Biden,
but President Trump is an entirely different
        breed of cat.

First I agree with those who say Europe should have
lone ago got more involved in defending their flank
          in the Ukraine.

If you would say that Trump should have done this,
then I would say that he has ignore one of the
          important principles of good management:
Reprimand in private; Praise in public.

What we have here is a classic bully ploy.
The sidekick gives some complaint about the target.
he hammers it again, perhaps adding some slight insult.
He raises voice just a little to bait the target.
Unfortunately, Zelinsky took the bait and raised his voice.
          (Most people do.)
Then the bully jumps in on the side of his sidekick.
The bully talks louder and over anything the target says.
As the volume goes up the bully makes a point of saying
the target is raising his voice.

As far as who insulted whom.
I would say that Trump insulted Zelinsky by not
inviting him to the peace meeting with Russia.

Funny! I saw an arrogant asshole with hat in hand giving att-
itude to the people he was hoping would continue to provide
funds to him! What kind of moron talks down to and over the
very people he’s hitting up for money?! And then “correcting”
Trump when told he doesn’t have the cards to play the hand
the way he wants to. When hitting someone up for money it
is not prudent to bluster and sass them. Zelensky is a great
example of “little corporal syndrome” or “bantam rooster
syndrome”. He’s like a teacup chihuahua barking at a 300lb
Great Pyrenees. While I feel for the people of Ukraine, I do not
see us having any sort of stake in what happens to them.
sorry but Ukraine doesn’t rate a single dollar of our treasure
and it damned sure isn’t worth a single drop of my grandson’s
blood! What gets me is that the arrogant little fart isn’t smart
enough to realize he is being played by Schumer and the Dems.

America can take the stance that it has no stake in
the Ukraine war, and will probably get away with it.

Unfortunately, Europeans can’t, but some of them are
coming to that realization late, since they thought
the US had their backs, and so it wasn’t urgent.
Crimea should have been the wake-up call for all of
Europe as to Putin’s land-grabbing objectives,
and they ignored it, since it was over so quickly.

Personally, I’ve been expecting something like this
to happen since we pulled the Army of the Rhine out
          of Germany in the 90’s.

I think Georgia was the wake-up call, and Europe

and continue reap what was sown at that time.

My father had a much longer eyetooth.
When he was a child the permanent
tooth below it came in behind the baby tooth,
      rather than pushing it out.
The dentist pulled the wrong lower tooth.
Then the baby tooth loosened up and fell out.
When the upper tooth came in, it just kept
growing till it met resistance at the lower gum.

I have noticed he’s quick to praise his employees
and quicker to punish those who screw up or screw
        around in his businesses.
His latest is the USA in general.

Trump would be very happy in your universe PC,
with how little the Empire actually does to or
needs from their members, the fair and gentle
way it handles people, the swift and decisive
way it handles outside aggressors, and the fact
the government isn’t afraid of running a profit
rather than borrow itself into bankruptcy.
Making money could be by running businesses,
rather than stealing from members. If they kept
up with the space program we’d have asteroid
mining 40 years ago, pocketed the income,
and taxes would be limited to what you have
        in the Wolf world.

I had a thought, if asteroid mining would wreck the world economy
as they claim because gold and silver could become almost as
common as iron, also both are better conductors, so making an
alloy of both for wiring and circuit boards would reduce the
resistance of electronics. And reduce the heat built up due to that
resistance. The economy would recover, just as it did when the car
became mass produced, or the robot arms in the same business.

Wish my father luck please, he’s going in to the hospital
in a few hours for a pacemaker replacement and a new
lead to his heart. One was on the verge of failing so they
can’t put it off. They tell me they can do it without opening
his chest now. He’s acting like a scared child however, it’s
been rough just to get him to agree to it.

    • Bill Mullins
      March 5, 2025, 08:31 | # | Reply

As someone on their 2nd pacemaker (8 years now) the replace-
ment process isn’t that bad. When they initially made the pocket
for the pacer I could barely stand a seatbelt for 6 months. After
the replacement I was barely sore. They leave ample service
loop in the lead so they can pull the old device completely out.
Then they run the new lead (over time scar tissue builds up
around the business end of the lead) and when it’s properly
seated they DC the old device and connect the new one. The
old lead stays in place and the new device goes into the pock-
et and the incision is closed. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Your
Dad should be fine. I’m expecting to get a 3ed device in a cou-
ple of years. Just be there when they take him away and when
he comes out of recovery. It’s really one of the safest things
      the medicos do to hearts.

Oh I know Bill, I’m not worried, but he is. it’s
stressful when you have to re-convince someone
they need this and it won’t be bad to do. Sadly
this is a common problem for anyone dealing
with Alzheimer’s. So far he recognizes my wife
and I, but he sees us every day.
It’s bad when you have to explain who both
nieces are and that since he remembers the
elder of the two is a lesbian, he thinks the
younger niece is the elder’s wife. At least he
hasn’t said anything to them, but he asks me
        every time…
As much as we hate it, at some point he’s
going to get bad enough he’s going to need
        full-time care.
