When you’re teaching, sometimes those being taught will surprise you
with another way of doing what you are teaching, that works as well, if
not better, than the way you were taught. Surprisingly, I did that a lot with
my father. When I was younger, I pretty much did as told. Then, when he
wasn’t looking, I’d study the situation and if I was pretty sure it wouldn’t
cause a problem, then I’d try things my way. Surprisingly, more often than
not, it worked at least as well, if not better. I started doing this after I was
taught the line, “Work smarter, not harder.”
Of course, when he caught me doing this, he was pretty ticked off. But,
after I demonstrated that I was able to do the same job, as well, if not better,
and with less work, he would scratch his head and tell me to go ahead and
do it my way. He was old school so he wasn’t to keen on having a kid less
than a third his age, doing the same job better and faster than he had in the
past. What made me proud is when he started using what I had taught him,
himself… I miss my dad…
I wonder if she’ll keep that scar. Looks like he’s wielding a K-Bar, or
a knockoff. Depending on where she is in her jump, he may be
about to land a cut to her leg.
He’s already lost, he’s holding that knife edge down,
tip up. he can only slash down or stab, Mala is holding
hers right, that’s why she’s smiling so much. That and
she loves a good fight.
Oh sure, it’d be worry-some if he had his arm drawn
to the side, but he’s using it like a shield, hoping it’ll
make her wary of it, dumb… I forget how many times
I’d slap a knife aside and grab a throat when some
ass thought it would scare me. Those types I’d take
the knife and break off the blade. They didn’t
deserve one.
Good grief! First thing I was taught in fighting using knives was to hold the
flat of the blade parallel to the ground! You can always redirect your slashes
in mid swing, block the edge of their blade with the flat of yours, and hit weak
points of your opponent when provided.
I could go into details, but that might be seen as inciting violence.
Let’s just say, I have a few scars, but am still very much alive.
I’m sure Mala knows Teresa is keeping tabs on her,
and would heal anything life-threatening if need be.
Just so it would just need a few stitches rather than
a fatal one.
IF she can get there in time! You have to remember the action with Mala
and the Marines is taking place several miles away from where Teresa
currently is. Plus Teresa is in a bunker apparently deep underground. It
could take a whole lot of time to get her topside and transport her to
where Mala and the Marines. Might not be time. I’m wondering if Catman
is going to pull a Tasha Yar on us. Anyhow we’ll know in 24 hours. Talk
about edge of your seat action!
If Teresa is watching, like I’m sure many of us assume, distance is probably not
an issue. She can heal remotely now, and has been practicing ever since episode
456. She was miles away when she healed everyone in episodes 446-451.
If he can kick her leg while she is in the air,
she could have a problem.
She would be knocked off balance.
If she falls straight down they are both dead.
She falls on his knife and she stabs him.
If he continues his roll to his left she could get him
before he can roll back.

in the process. When she lands it’ll be on top of him, ready
to slash his throat.
PC is showing a good scenario that I had to deal with a time

So glad to see the latest installment up. I stuck my head in about 19:30
central last evening and the previous installment was still up. I was just
a bit concerned about PC. I used to wait until Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday to look in but lately I’ve gotten in the habit of looking in here on
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after 19:00 local. A new installment of
TGW means all is right with the world.
20:00 for PC is 5 pm west coast time. I usually try to look
in about 5:01 when possible (I’m opportunistic, so sue me).
Wasn’t up by 5:15, so I checked again about a half hour later.
still not up. But it was there by 6pm when I checked again.
All became right with the world again.
I may be off in my times.
At that particular range of time on my timesheet
I show a large section of “me” time. So, eh,
“somewhere in there it showed up”
is really the best I can attest too.
Some web site providers are slow to update any changes
or uploads. I’ve had to start hitting refresh when I don’t
see an update at the normal time for some of the other
comics I read.
If anyone is reading the comic and NOT going to TWC and voting
please do. I was shocked to see how far down TGW was. From
consistently being in the top 10 it is now not even in the top 20!

Yeah, something’s going on. I’m in the middle of one of the most popular storylines ever, and
the vote totals are dropping compared to previous months.
Well, a new top story will start on Monday that I think will be equally popular, so we’ll see
what happens.
But to be in the top ten for over three years, only to be suddenly kicked out by a bunch of
previously obscure comics that are suddenly getting massive numbers of votes is a bit
hard to believe.
I saw that. TGW started out well, then the first “votes” hit, and it
dropped to 19 or so. I call BULL! Then yesterday, a crapload of
obscure unknown comics get granted a few thousand “votes” each,
and TGW drops into the 30s. Double BULL!!
The voting at TWC is less believable than the 2020 US presidential
election, which was the most blatantly fraudulent election in history.
nope,, it’s doing just as told…! i have a bit of OCD. and have been
tracking twc since 2015 (10 years.) and have seen the 8 revamps,.
it started “New comics” get top 10 for a month then move on.. then
voted get spot,, but that was quickly hacked,. now it’s the top 5
are old comics, with bought ads, to get new face time.. 6-10 are
established with adds (and bots).. idk why 11 is there,? it’s all
text, no comic.! ..now ours.. i know of 3 comics that made #1,.
and stayed there a while,,, but because they never bought ads..
they got dropped.!! even 1 comic got 60 new readers in 1 month,
still dropped 2 spaces over all… o.0
oh yeah,, a few years back, i commented on a ‘bot’ incident.
a low vote comic, in about 4 hours got over 12k votes.!!
when all but 3 or 4 get less than 10k votes in a MONTH.!
and twc did nothing….

but no room or time to set it up.
