music up until the other day and he starts playing sea shanties and
celtic music… WTF?!? heh. He was shocked when I started to sing
along with that “what do you do with a drunken sailor” song 😉

have been around since the wooded sailing ships, trust me,
I’ve heard them all.”
As these ‘Cats’ are now Terran ‘Cats’, they are more likely
to use Terran systems of measurements. They’d probably
use Catian measurements on Catia, but as a standard, on
board a Terran ship.with a mixed crew, they’d use the standards
of those who built the ship. (Besides, the AIs on board might
get a bit touchy about suddenly changing standards they were
programmed with. (NASA ran into that problem a few times
in the past…)

and we’ve no evidence that it’s ever even been to earth.

I had the same thought, There was a place, kinda close to where I
grew up called “Naked City” that had gained some fame by letting
the biker gangs come and party is up, up until the owner decided
to do a thing called “The Naked Dance” which was a front for his
prostitutes. Cops came down HARD on him for that! So he “sold” it
to his son and tried it again under the name “Sunside” or something
like that, which got busted again… not sure if it was ever reopened
after that… I knew a few of the members that told me about this…

out defective ones. It might have been junk news but it

having a shortage etc…
China has about 3 times the people in their country
than ours, and not quite the same livable land mass,

3rd world nation with delusions of grandeur.
I remember reading about one ‘pirate’ Chinese company, who were
manufacturing a fake name brand clothes washer. As I understand it,
they sold them cheaper than the real thing, BUT, they were apparently
more durable, more reliable, AND had an actual tech support number
that they supported their products with. When the rather famous
American company found out, they got the Chinese government to shut
down the pirate company.(If that American Company had of had half a
brain, they would have bought the pirate company, and continued
operations, under their own brand which they May Tagged them with…

There’s a lot of pirate companies like that out of China,look up
Harbor Freight online and take a hard look at the gas motors they
sell there, they are carbon copies of the Honda motors, right down
to the bolt patterns and parts. Plus a few years ago a China-based
auto company started selling a car that was the spitting image of
a Ford Focus…

Over 90% of crap is made outside the US. So it was not ‘spitting image’,
it was made there. Under license.
And yes “Maytag” bought / sold the license.
Harbor freight even posted the motor it replaces, China is Japans
competitor, I doubt they’d give them the license.
We bought one to replace the Honda motor that threw a rod,
perfect fit, even the carb and custom exhaust bolted on so
we saved those just in case. Pull start unit as well.
I had to change the pulley ratio as well, as the motor had to
run too fast to work the grain grinder at the right speed.
I didn’t want to risk over-spinning the motor again.
they are called “Assembly plants,” for a reason.!
not manufacture plant.. IE: they get the “Cheep”
parts from elsewhere.. ( even saw a video of them
