Like I said, Alex has been a perfect gentleman to Cissy. And she noticed.
I was that way to my wife when I first met her when she was only 17, I
guess it made me look like an odd duck to her heh. 40 years later we still
say “Hi” to each other when I come back in the room
That makes total sense, fastest ship for communication and the Pride was
going to go home anyway, this way both have critical jobs and The Pride
has a new ambassador.
Funny thing, I was watching a fusion reactor info video and I had this
thought, the grav drives would help a lot to get them to work, and then
I realized if they had your grav drives, we wouldn’t need fusion reactors!
I needed sleep I guess… lol
I can tell you have a new computer PC it’s made a difference already.
I can see more details in the Queen’s face and everyone looks crisper
and smoother.
Yes, the control of gravity would open up a lot of possibilities.
Isaac Arthur once did a video about the possibilities of control over
gravity. The high end possibilities are truly frightening.
That said, considering the the technology in Gentle Wolf I can excuse
the limited way they use it. The technology is still new, their resources
and manpower are limited. Not an excuse I let slide with Star Trek,
which thrives around technical advancement amongst other things.
The Issac Arthur video can be found here, though his other videos
are also very interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUqCJrBqcvQ
Well, during the testing phase they managed to “disappear” a
test unit because they didn’t have it focused and the control
system working right.
Basically created a micro-blackhole that swallowed the unit
taking itself out in the process, and a fair chunk of earth with it.
Would make a devastating bomb in the wrong hands that’s for
sure. An unfocused grav unit, a battery, and a control unit set
to go boom. As it is the grav guns can chew up a ship and
it’s crew in short order. Or drop asteroids from high orbit!

C’mon Chardis, you have been around long enough
to know the reward for a job well done :}
Oh, Captain Chardis knew there would be something;
she just didn’t know what. Yet.
No rest for the Merchant Marines!
Impmerc is just going to keep
getting busier over time…
