Oops! Shehar isn’t happy with Jim not that I blame her. So now begins his real trial; getting back into
the good graces with the Catians. Good luck Jim. I think his friends influenced his actions in more ways
than he knows or is willing to admit to. I suspect they will whine and complain that Jim got what they
all were demanding but it was just for attention, doing it the right way will only piss them off and
give them another cause to start on. “Give us what we want the way we want it!” doesn’t matter who it
was for or why they did it, only the attention it gives them.
That’s more of a heavy short sword than a knife! But it does make sense that Palas would have one
like that. The P’tera ambassador seems to be speaking his opinion more than anything, give him time,
he doesn’t know the Catians just yet. Or the Empire…
jus sayin,, our medieval recreations group,
consider up to 12″ dagger (cutting edge)
an 12″ to 24″ short sword..
and yes there are exceptions to the rule..
then.. you have that monster ‘bowie knife.’ o.0
“that’s not a nife.. This is a KNIFE.!”
comes to mind….
I had the same thought but I figured it was too obvious 😉 Dundee’s knife is an actual survival knife
my youngest had one lost most of the stuff in the handle in short order but he still has the knife.
the saw edge is crazy sharp you can cut down a 2 tree with it in minutes. he also recently bought
an “authentic” katana I didn’t have the heart to tell him they are not marked “made in china” 😀
I’m jealous. A knife with history. A knife passed down through generations.
A WARRIOR’S blade.
A conversation between warriors. Something serious and “sacred”.
Others may listen and hear, but this conversation is between the two only.
Just proves that Palas isn’t going to be an easy target although I thought as much. Soon enough
all will learn that the Catians are not a beaten down and backward people like they think they will
be! I agree a warriors weapon with history is an honorable possession not to be displayed in a case
on a mantle, kills me that punks wave their glocs around like it’s a badge of honor and it’s just a
cowards’ weapon. Most don’t even know how to aim the stupid things!
NOT ‘a cowards weapon’..
may be a coward to stupid
to use any other weapon.
God created all men different
Sam Colt made them equal
Browning leveled the field..
Sorry Rob but I’ve had some bad experiences with street punks who
have no honor but think a gun makes them street warriors. Who also
would run scared if they met someone that wasn’t intimidated by it.
Jim’s old gang talked to anyone, except the folk they
wanted to give up space for the park? ID10T’s indeed.
Will Jim try to make some amends by periodically hitting
those same shows to talk about how the park is progressing?

This is actually based on a true story from my youth. But in real life, the city used
Eminent Domain to seize the man’s land. They ended up paying a small fortune
for land that they could have had for free if they’d just talked to the man!
Health update and good news
Well, despite being scanned (CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine) from collar
bones to hip joints, despite a bucket each of blood and urine, they still have
no idea what is wrong with me. The PA who has been monitoring my
condition (from Florida) suggest that one of the “head meds” I’m on could cause
much of what I’m experiencing and upon consult with my pshrink I DCed it.
No noticeable change but it has only been 2 weeks. I am cautiously optimistic.
My weight continues to drop if less precipitously. I now weigh less than I did
as a senior in high school 53 years younger and 2 inches shorter. I have
determined experimentally that if I am sitting or riding in a car or cart I can
be up and active much longer. The good news is that after getting a consult
with the wheeled mobility section at the VA here they are going to issue me a
mobility scooter and a power lift which will be installed on the back of my car.
Your federal tax money is paying for it and I am grateful. I should be able to do
grocery shopping without havingnto worry about passing out or tossing my cookies.
It’s a good thing the VA approved the scooter. A month ago my wife fell and broke her
right leg the same leg that already had an artificial knee. They had to replace the
knee and she spent 3 weeks in a rehab facility. We were getting pretty bare in the
pantry before I managed to get some shopping done only because I found ride-on
carts to use. The scooter will let me be mobile. I just feel guilty at how expensive
it is.
Don’t feel guilty, Bill. I don’t mind my taxes paying for the scooter.
It’s better than a lot of what my taxes are spent on!
I do hope the doctors can figure out what’s wrong and make it better.

Same.. One time had 3 armed threatening store clerk,
I stuck my 45 in leaders nose.
“You die first!” They all dropped theirs..
love the incentive..

Now that you mention it the thing does kind of look like somebody
did for a Thompson that Ruger did to make its mini-14.

Love that term. “Eye-Dee-Ten-Tee”,
when you want to describe a person,
in front of their face,
without directly insulting them.

i’m glad my ‘tax money’ went to
a good reason for a change…
it’s usually for a half wit, for a latest
greatest, that they don’t really need..
Thanks, guys. I’m looking forward to getting it..
It comes in a snazzy kind of candy apple red.
I’ll really be “stylin”!
Send us a picture when you get it? If those
that see it will realize it’s a joke and not
pretentiousness, wear a biker jacket with it.
The people’s money being well spent for that mobility cart and lift.
Do well with it. And may you and yours get as better as you can be.
Bill, why don’t you order groceries online? Saves a lot of trouble.
Pulled his tie right out the jacket in panel 2. LOL
