I apologize for not being here lately. I know that when I get online, my own
curiosity will draw me into the toxic swamp that is the internet, so I have
been spending the absolute minimum of time on line, enough to add comics
to my buffer and read the comments. Thank you for those, by the way, your
comments really help my mood.
There’s more to it than that, of course. But yeah, I’m not having a good
time right now. Creating this webcomic – this world, these characters, if
you will – is my relief. I appreciate you readers, you help keep me going.
Thanks, everyone.
I can relate about 15 years ago I almost launched a hand-drawn comic
myself but I made the mistake of sharing some of my dev art work and
someone stole the idea so I gave up on it… yeah I shoulda coulda
shoulda but I was fighting cancer at the time and had other concerns
only solace was they screwed it up and it failed lol! I called the
“The Exterminator”, a failed arms developer that had a vendetta
against a certain white mouse that chewed up the wires in the control
console causing a lot of mayhem at the demonstration and got him
fired but since he only knew military hardware he was using it to
poorly kill pests! My test comic was of him barging into a poor
woman’s home and using a mini gun on the baseboards until the house
collapsed. Of course the mice all ran out to the neighbor’s houses lol.
Anyway Petercat you do you and just let us enjoy your well written and
engaging comic I love the fact you depict real people rather than the
overly sexualized versions that are the norm in this genera. And the
sickness that has a death grip on society today I believe the events
that you described at the beginning are very likely to happen if
things don’t change. I’ve only been following your work for about a
year now and I check often to see when the next installment is posted
it’s one of the few I follow closely 🙂
Yes mate, we all tire of the Narcissistic BS artists and the Moronic
Collectivists, however, and sadly, these things are meant to be.
What’s also meant to be is the correction. This also won’t be nice,
but it’s also the way of things.
However, in the mean time, we can but enjoy your excellent imagination
and story telling skills, as those who linger here do, for the same
reason that you created this little Oasis.
It gives us a respite far from that Toxic Swamp, even though we have
to walk past it daily to get to here, or to even do business as normal,
or what current passes for such.
As always, thank you for this little Oasis, we who appreciate it,
don’t do it often enough.
Take care of yourself.
I do not always agree with the philosophical, or political positions
you, your characters, or other readers take, but I do enjoy your
story telling. It is possible to be civil even if you disagree.
It is even possible you might find that you like some things about
them. In the mean time, remember the old saw:
“Illegitimus non corborundum.”
Thank you, Curtis. Please feel free to comment when I or someone else takes
a position with which you disagree. I don’t want to live in an echo chamber.
We learn most when we listen to people who do not agree with us, you might
affect the story line. Many comments here have done just that!
One of the many reasons I value my readers.
I am worried that the alt text applies to both strips.
The second one is obvious. Having a representative of Lamia here means there
is not a vacant human seat. He doesn’t seem to have difficulty addressing Palas
as a person and not an animal, so does he represent the current Lamian regime
or holdouts for the old one? If the current one, why bother with the circuitous
route? And the fact that there is a known second route means that is would be
possible to move through a closed circuit of wormholes, and the fact that it
doesn’t seem to be a concern means that my speculation about time travel via
such a route is groundless — the ends of the wormholes are separate in space
but probably negligibly in time, or this would have already been exploited.
That’s all fine. It’s the first strip that gives me a bad feeling. I am afraid that
Seb is about to meet someone, whether by his choice or not. If it’s just a
mugging, then he’s a victim. If on the other hand, it is revealed he’s linked to
our mystery villain, then Seb is a smooth operator indeed, very dangerous,
and not the likeable person he has seemed up until now. That’s all an act.

Your absence was noticed elsewhere. Shalom

I enthusiastically second these comments. Thank you PC
Me three. PC you are doing a terrific job on this comic. Thank-you.
When I first saw the ambassador I thought he was Jesse Ventura’s brother.
Lol! He sure does look like Jesse Ventura!
Take care of yourself.
