Phil and Kathy getting married. GREAT! Little miss ambassador can really elucidate and enunciate very well. How will she explain to her father that she is a bigot or at least she jumps to conclusions very fast. From the giggles of her friend she hasn’t been told he is her professor. HMMM! Fun to be had.
Seems that little missy Suzuki hasn’t twigged yet that “big and dumb” Bryan is her professor.
And it would have been fun to watch Miral lash little miss bigot with both claws AND tongue.
But cooler (but no less deadly) heads have prevailed – this time.
While I understand a significant amount of hostility from someone from Okinawa, (trust me, the US military there treats them like crap, and many Japanese don’t even really think of Okinawa as part of Japan) but, being in a foreign country doesn’t give her the excuse to act like an ugly Valley Girl American. I suspect that she has some underlying issues that are causing her behavior…
The biggest sin in Japanese culture (almost the only one, truth be told) is bringing dishonor to one’s family. Shimizu San made her remarks in a public place in front of witnesses. I would like to be a fly on the wall whan her daddy delivers what bodes to be a truly epic, world-class dressing down of truly biblical proportions. Honestly, I expected her to back down after finding out Bryan was her instructor. High caste Japanese can be such arrogant shits sometimes. She’s clearly suffering from a major case of “Daddy’s little princess” syndrome and expects her daddy’s position to shield her from the consequences of her actions. Likely she’s gotten used to being a total shit to people whom she feels are inferior to her. If I have learned anything about the Catman and his little universe it is that who someone’s daddy is or what they did before coming to the Empire counts for exactly squat. Each individual is judged by their own character and actions. I love the way Petercat has posed Brita (or is it Helen/) in panels 1 and 4. I figure she’s thinking “Damn girl! You are setting yourself up for SUCH a big fall! Your comeuppance is going to be something to tell my grandchildren about!” I surely do hope the Catman lets us watch. Whether the Ambassador truly believes baby girl screwed up, I have no doubt he’s there to try and negotiate favorable trade deals with the empire and if nothing else her mouth could cost him his job – and possibly his career (the folks back home would not take kindly to baby girl’s actions splashing back on the homeland.
Stay tuned, ladies and gentlemen, for the next installment. Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel.
Guess you’re right there. Same “Cat” time, same Cat channel. Course it could also be “wolf” time/channel but that doesn’t quite have the same zing. ba-dump-bump ching!

Word of advice to missy Suzuki……first rule when you find yourself in a hole…..stop digging.
Second rule; if you can’t stop digging, dig sideways…
Oh, things are about to go sideways, all right… Maybe.

I envy Tabitha and her bonding with the new-born dragonfly.
The peace, contentment, bliss, and wonder on her face…….
And best of nuptials to Kathy and Phillip.
