What is that orange ball at the tip of Lisa’s gun? Plasma buildup? Bubblegum? Bouncy rubber ball?
(btw, Lisa’s finger control – i.e., finger already on the trigger instead of straightened and off to one side of the trigger – makes me nervous. an accident waiting to happen)
No cameras inside the airlock? A stance of “Honor Guard” or “Escort” would be more diplomatic than “Repel Boarders”, yet still have an armed presence ready.
Commander Villines Werewolves; an anti corruption team; a former (hmmmmm….) judge and a prosecutor; sounds like judge, jury, and executioner. Be ‘were, wolves! (ok, ok, bad dad joke)
Q: the person that runs central collections clearing house (collects, records, keeps secrets, and disburses): how does (s)he get paid for their efforts? Authorized a percentage off the top? 0.1%? 1%? 5%? Not knowing the scale of contributions, it’s difficult to estimate what a reasonable “pay” should be.
Woodman, I don’t like your idea of the guy who does the collections doing a skim – even if it is perfectly legal. I think a better way would be for the people for whom he collects to pay him afixed amount. He is, after all, performing a service in their behalf. He’s also saving them time and money. Without him performing that service they would have to pay someone in their organization to collect the money, keep the books and travel to the bank to deposit the money. They would even have to pay some private security firm to provide security during bank runs. This way the Werewolves provide security for everyone’s money. So long as the guy who works the collection point is well paid, he has no real incentive or much temptation to steal.
May be worded wrongly. Wasn’t implying a “skim” as in “illegal” or “steal”. But the collector needs to be paid somehow. And I figured a percentage of the intake off the top, would be the same as the organization being donated to, turning around and then paying the collector….just with less steps and fancy dancing. Thinking simplicity. One step vs two or three. The collector’s income could be a fixed amount, a fixed percentage, or a sliding scale percentage. Whatever. I’m not making the rules. I’m just asking questions, trying to figure out the lay of the land—that is, if our esteemed authors and illustrators have gone into that much back detail. For all I know, all my questions could be answered in next week’s ‘toon. Or never. It’s rare that I ask questions about the society of a ‘toon. Usually I’m content to just float along and enjoy. But TGW is different.
Happy days back at’cha Bill, ya Crusty Curmudgeon.

No, they just gather information and refer it to prosecution.
