Oooooookkkkkaaaaaayyyyyyy! Totally not getting the wardrobe change panel 5 to panel 6 to panel 8. Whiskey tango foxtrot? Over???
(Okay so sometimes I’m sort of a linear, literal, not terribly abstract thinker.)
Okay. I fired up the PC so I could see the hover text. Still not positive exactly what happened. As I wrote earlier, sometimes I am a really, literal, linear, non-abstract thinker. So for me (as with the two cats in panel 7) it was a definite Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot! moment. Guess you’ll let me off the hook come Tuesday.
I did appreciate the Amillu action figure on the shelf in TGW-600.
Bill, it’s called “projection” there is no actual costume change, but she’s coming across in such a way as to make the Catians perceive her as a great warrior that they can associate her attitude and mannerisms with. This is why some people refer to others as a reincarnation of a particularly powerful or noteworthy historical figure…
The cats seem to have had a flash of some vision, overlaying Amillu with an image of a warrior that is clearly significant to them.
I can’t help but feel that the fists in front of eyes response is some formal “we are not worthy” type of salute.
Of course, the salute might be for the cat walking into shot behind Amillu…
Good catch vis a vis the hair and face change, John. All I caught was wardrobe and weapon. Most days I read the comic on an 11″ tablet (Kindle fire) so some details are not readily visible. Guess I’ll have to head into the cave and bring up TGW on the 24″ monitor to appreciate the details. Also only way to get “hover text”. It isn’t there in a mobile browser. At least not in Amazon’s shitty Silk browser.
Bill, I often view the comic on my 7″ Kindle Fire, especially if I’m still awake reading when the new one drops (about 0100 here in the UK).
I find I can zoom in using the standard tablet or smart phone two finger pinch/reverse pinch technique so that I can have a single panel fill the screen if I need to look more closely at the detail.
I did it when I was looking at Amillu’s dress a couple of comics back, which is how I decided it was the same style as Loria’s, but in a different colour scheme.
And Danny was the one that spotted the hair change…
Also, if you press and hold the comic image, Silk will open a dialogue box offering you an option to open the image in a new tab or a new window.
That dialogue shows the hover text at the top, next to a thumbnail of the comic.
Once you’ve read the text, tap anywhere in the blank space around the dialogue to cancel it.
Thanks, John. I did NOT know that. I still don’t like silk compared to Chrome. Rather not use Chrome considering how woke Amazon is but sometimes you cannot do everything exactly as you wish. Needs must and all that.

Hope that clears it up.
“Channeling” some great warrior? Hair and face changed as well. I’m lost too.
See my reply ti Bill, above.
So I was “sort of” right. You’re too sutble for me, PC

I was going for rubbing their eyes in a “What did I just see” gesture.
That’s the way I took it. Maybe not literal psychic projection, but analogous effect.

Cat man, check your email. Sending a big thorny one at you.
You’re not crazy.
As far as the military goes, I disagree, as far as relations within the ranks.
