DAMN! Just DAMN! Hope it wasn’t the legion who perpetrated that.
Some things are just WRONG no matter who does them – OR WHY!
GOT TO be another way to “send a message” than impalement followed
by immolation. I’m hoping that the reference to Darren and his “crew”
means this was some sort of especially depraved gang action thrown
in to illustrate just how bad things are in that area. I’m nobody’s
“goody two shoes” but that there is just flat out WRONG! BUT as always,
Catman, your story to be told your way.
On a lighter note, I think the surveillance module is complete.
Look at the latest pix on DA and see if you agree. If so, let me
know and I’ll send the models to you.
Their feet are off the ground. That means dull stakes. That means
the kerosene could almost be seen as a mercy. I know we still don’t
know what these raiders did before this, but it would take something
utterly heinous for all six to have earned this. At some point tit
for tat puts you in the same category as whoever started it.
They are in the same category, just normally on a leash. Madea took
them off the leash for this operation: http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-752/
But yeah, this is bad enough, I’m not going to get into what they
did to justify this.
But it did justify this.
I have read that, even with sharpened stakes, it can take a while
for the stakes to actually emerge from the condemned’s body. I tend
to agree with you about “tit for tat” but as I wrote above it’s
Catman’s story and he can tell it however he damned well pleases.
Perhaps rather than “tit for tat”, however, this is more of a case
of the punishment fitting the crime. I guess ultimately we just have
to trust the C man that their past “misbehaviors” (no doubt legion)
did, indeed, justify their punishment.
Agreed on all points. The point I was making was the same one that’s
made about the soldiers’ breaking Jesus’s legs being an act of mercy.
Sharpened stakes cut into vitals faster and kill more quickly. Dull
stakes could take days. Of course, the townsfolk would have probably
taken them off the stakes, but the internal damage would probably
still have killed them, just a long, slow death from internal
bleeding or sepsis. And I’m just as happy not knowing the details of
whatever this was reprisal and deterrent for. I have an imagination,
and I know PC has far more direct knowledge. (He hinted at it during
the story with the cult up in the mountains.)
And I’ll assume for now the woman in gray was just ignorant of the
“sweet boys” true nature, not complicit in it. And curious about
“that man” running Waukanda. How complicit is he?
for what ever reason, i was locked out (would not take password)..
and remember this is the one that said something about “soft.. an
bone cracks..” he got off easy.!
an i think… (oops) .. that PC might have been making a poke at the
,, mother’s little angel , type.. you know the one. never harm a
fly, always goes to church,, has a rap sheet a mile long, killed
more people than any war… BUT, the ‘mom’ will always claim you
are harassing her little ‘Darren’ who NEVER done any harm.!!
After today things will lighten up.
Not sure your email will lighten up 😛 The small minds must be
Freaking right about now.
Well, for those whom the kerosene was dumped upon, the day
certainly did, “light up”…
And it went by in a Flash.
*blinks* Shakespear according to Peanuts?

See my reply to Jochi, below.
My only constructive comment is on the background.
There are NO mountains or even high hills near Jackson, MS
You’re right, Mississippi is too flat. I shouldn’t have put them in.
This isn’t Jackson, by the way.
