Instead of “Shoot a Democrat”, an illustration of a Redneck with a
huge hammer driving an Antifa into the ground?
There are at least two Liberals that read this comic, don’t know if
‘they’re Democrats, know that they’re good people.
My problem is with the left wing.
Tomorrow it will be exactly one month since I mailed that package.
Just sent another inquiry. I have received seven packages that were
mailed to me after I mailed yours. Including one that was mailed
in California on December 11.
Okay. If I could delete the post I would.
If you can then please do so. No desire to offend.
Did you see my post from yesterday about a woman who received a
birthday card mailed in June of 2015? From her mother who – by the
way – DIED in 18? Last I looked, cards such as that are always
mailed “First Class” (fwiw). It hasn’t been 5 years yet so
there’s still hope.
Why would I want to hammer you? I hate Fascists, myself. As do
most of my readers. Where we might disagree, however, is in our
respective definitions of “Fascist”. Ask an Antifa what a Fascist
is, for example, and see if they even understand the concept.
If you look at the classic definition of “Fascist”, it pretty
much defines Antifa, their methods, and their goals.
The philosophy of Fascism, whatever name it is given, is evil.
I don’t know if I’d call you a “greenie”. You sound pretty rational.
We all want to preserve and protect the environment, it’s the only
one we have. But we want it maintained in a scientifically valid,
open to scrutiny way.
I’m not going to listen to someone who burns millions of litres of
fuel flitting around the world in a jet telling me that I have to
use less gasoline.
Same for the man who’s mansion uses enough electricity to power a
small town telling me to use less.
The person who calls me a “climate change denier” will see my back
as I walk away.
When people scream at me, or beat on me, or threaten me for
disagreeing with them, they’re not trying to convince me, they’re
trying to silence me. Why is that?
I’m not sure if my post (or rant) this morning (local time=CEST)
made it through …
But sorry – according to the information available to me, we *are*
currently using this planet up like we had several other to spare.
Just one example from personal experience: our cat’s now something
like 16 years old. When we adopted her from the shelter she was
officially “three years old”.
I remember just too well how she always hunted the moths that flew
through our windows at night. She always had plenty of fun …
She still watches the open windows every night. But there’s hardly
any prey for her anymore. (We live pretty rural here – well for
Germany anyways)
I’m really not an expert on climate change. I suggest you do what I do when
I want to understand an issue, go to websites on all sides of the spectrum
and see what everyone has to say.
Take a look at the lifestyles of the proponents and see how they’re acting
in relation to their claimed beliefs. Someone crying that the oceans are
rising while they buy oceanfront property doesn’t have much credibility.
The climate is changing, that is why the label “climate change denier” is so
ugly. The issue is why is it changing? Is it a natural cycle, as many
say, or is it man-made? Seek out and find all of the information you can,
come to your own conclusions, and act accordingly. But don’t demonize or
attempt to silence everyone who reaches a different conclusion.
As for “natural change”, here’s link to one of my favorite comic sites.
He compiled a timeline of what’s been happening during the last twenty
something millennia.
Guy’s a science nerd and he’s very picky about getting his numbers
straight. The data he’s presenting matches up with what I learnt from
other sources (as far as I can tell). https://xkcd.com/1732/
We’re currently at plus 1.2°C over the pre-industrial reference.
1.5°C by 2100 is the considered to be the point we should aiming for.
There’s plenty data out there. Pictures of glaciers from around 1900
which don’t exist anymore, satellite pics from the poles …
As for people not acting according to their official beliefs, you
find that everywhere. There’s a certain someone who owns a golf club
in Scotland who claims that climate change is a myth but fortified
his property anyways …
Oh! On the plus side! There’s a very good chance that neither of us
– nor the politicians and company leaders in charge will be around
before shit will become serious enough to turn our lives into hell.
(If you don’t mind the increased risk for hurricanes, tornadoes,
flooding’s, wildfires and other fun stuff, that’s already a thing.
Mind you one that insurance companies are taking very seriously)
Let’s not discuss this any more, I doubt if we’ll convince the other.
That’s not what this webcomic is for anyway, it’s more a way to escape
from the day’s current strife.
I do want you to continue reading and commenting. You are an intelligent
and courteous person, and as such will always be welcome here.
(Did you get my email to you?)
That’s fine, I’m glad it worked. I can make you an avatar, if you like.
I think an “”Antifa” symbol would be funny, but I have a twisted sense
of humor. Might not be the best idea here, though.
hello. and welcome.!
since you are new here. this is to let you know, that I come by later
an edit posts to fit small screens (phones & tablets.). and maybe
gross spelling errors. BUT i do NOT change the meaning..
i can,, but i wont.! cuz PC did not. (delete it.)
the problem with humor, not every one gets it…
and ,, i would like to think, that this group is
not so thin skinned,. as to go off bout it..
Sooner or later, somebody’s gonna drive THROUGH that little stick. I wonder if
there are also tire-flattening teeth we can’t see, or an armed guard just out
of sight. $10 does seem excessive, but monopolies always are, and it’s still
possible the rate will go down once the costs of the resurfacing are recouped.
Of course, I don’t see any toll rate signs. It’s possible the toll is, ah,
selectively set by the booth operator. Now, the sensible solution would be for
the “homeowners’ association” to offer to PAY to have the toll booth removed,
and an annual fee for unrestricted access. But, we’ll see what happens.
By golly Bren Harter is a lucky man.
I have the feeling that that “little stick” is actually a steel bar,
or worse, a gravity attractor, triggered by cars trying to go under it,
literally cutting the engine compartment in half.
A Dragon would be cheap, compared to buying a new car…
i wood say ,, No .. ,, if you drive through the barrier (no damage),
fee is doubled each time, till certain amount then to court.!
an they have to pay all court costs.
if damaged.. then arrested , pay to have all damages repaired.
an no longer allowed to drive road.!
.. the cats are trying to make them mess up an have to close the road.!!
Ah, Catman? I voted (as I do every day) but only got a placeholder image.
Know I got to the right place cause I got the descriptive text:
“That’s not what I meant! You have a dirty mind.”
Yeah, that happens when they get too much traffic. Try again,
you’ll get a “You already voted” message but the picture will show.
To make the image fit your screen, right-click on it and select
“View image”.
T-shirt I would not mind wearing:
Strike a blow for
FREEDOM
Shoot a Democrat
TODAY!
What do you think? Too radical? Too extreme?

By your terms I’d be a leftist and greeny. Sorry, not sorry.
(And to me “Antifa” still means someone who doesn’t like Fascists –
so please do not hammer me, but that term clearly includes yours truly.)
Why would I want to hammer you? I hate Fascists, myself. As do

The one about my account? Yes I did. Would I be allowed to keep
my alias as visible name while being logged in?
Yes, I made it your registered user name. If your real name shows up, I’ll fix it.
Or you can log in and go to your account and see.

Oops.
Sorry. Had to change my “real name” to my alias to make it show here. Hope that’s still ok.

How about a small, greenish potted plant? Two or three leafed? 😉
Sure. Do you have an image, or should I make one?
Alas, I’m not much of an artist myself – also I’m kinda curious of your interpretation.
