Same here. Plus, why would you accept anything put out by the Chinese reds? Also, for the Chinese a fertility hit is not exactly a bad thing.Hell! Maybe that was what the lab in Wu Han was trying for all along?
Lot of learning went into that. Figuring out what detail to use textures for vs what to put on the model itself. FYI, the simple handle on the cart started out as a single cylinder (pipe) which I was able to figure out to bend 4 ways.
That’s looking good. Higher on larger wheels, maybe? Won’t always be setting up on smooth terrain.
I have a Kettenrad model, make a nice tractor for moving things like this.
Might be better on a two-wheeled trailer, easier to manhandle.
Email me a picture of the kind of trailer you’re talking about and sure. BTW I was thinking the basic cart could also have a couple of shelves like a work cart in a shop. On the trailer, I need to SEE what you’re talking about. The HVAC modules measure 4’w X 4’h X 3.5′ deep but those numbers can change. The heat exchanger is a great deal larger than the unit I bought a few years back and it will flat out freeze your balls off even in summer. Course we’re only talking 1600 sq. ft. here. I was thinking one HVAC unit per major module with one every few modules for connecting modules.
How about this: you send me a picture of what you want and I’ll learn my way through modelling it. One caveat. Textures are a big part of “realism” and in some ways textures are eating my lunch.Getting better but still way too many Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!? moments. So far I’m only able to texture relatively flat and straight objects. At the moment I do not know a way to reliably produce tread on the tires on that trailer. Don’t mean it cannot be done just means I personally do not know how to do that. Figure I’ll have to ask the community for some hints on how to wrap a texture around a cylindrical or spherical object. I know it can be done just not how to do it. You know?
Okay. So I looked at the pictures of the two models you put up links to. Here are the salient features I will try to build:
1. 2 wheeled trailer.
2. wheels more nearly automobile sized rather than hand truck sized.
3. Latch and pintle type hitch.
4. Screw type jack at front for setup.
Now I gotta go figure out how to wrap a tread texture around a wheel. I can see how to make a basic pintle hook hitch but not to have the donut part be welded to the pipe part. I’ll make two versions. One with the jack stowed and one with the jack extended. Stowed version will have air pipes stowed on top of HVAC units. Setup version will have air pipes attached to HVAC unit and ready to set up next to the various modules.
“Iray textures”? Where and/or how do I get those? I’m using Photoshop elements to massage images I find online to massage into the textures. There are 2 primary textures plus 2 bump maps in that pic.
Question: Since I’m mounting the HVAC unit on a trailer, I suppose you want it roadable, i.e. with brake lights and turn signals. Is it okay to forgo fenders?
Sure. I can always add them with primitives if need be.

Some modern “men” have nothing to worry about.

Me? I’m too old to care.

Well, at least we may wind up with a more manageable population level in the future…
With life spans extending as much as they are, maybe a reduction in male fertility might not be such a bad thing….
Sample study of **five**? People do publish stuff like that?
Heh-heh. Welcome to the internet, friend.
Still learning to model while working on modules for the Catman. Here is a complete HVAC unit on a wheeled cart. What do you folks think?

This is the trailer that I have.

Check out using a bump map. By the way, I use iray textures exclusively.
