PC –
You may be physically alone, but you have more
friends here than most people, though most of us
have never met in meatspace. And I mean real
FRIENDS, not just acquaintances. We care about
you. Thank you for letting us know you are still
this side of this mortal coil, and never regret taking
time off for yourself.
Yup – Been there Done that.
Mid November 1990 , called to Topeka and activated.
All the locals had passes for Wed-Sun, but not me.
I lived in Dallas.
Thanksgiving dinner, /Nov 1990: one can of Coca-Cola and a small bag of M&M’s,
alone in an almost empty Army Reserve Center.
PC, this will pass.
Let your insides settle, inspiration return, and enjoy the rush that will bring.
As it says in one of my TMs – Rejoice/Give Thanks in all Circumstances …” (1 Thess 5:18)
We appreciate, and kinda-sorta treasure you.
That’s ok.
Everyone deserves a break.
Especially the storyteller and artist
who illuminates, elucidates,
entertains, educates, and even
at times makes us (GASP!) think.I
Take your time. We’ll be here for you.
just glad you are OK! an glad you got some you time.!!
you may be alone.. but you are not alone,.!
i also live a hour from the nearest structure…
WE are at that age,, that no word is concerning.
It’s all good, I can relate, I’m watching my own family shrink here.
You do you, but never be afraid to talk to any of us you can trust,
I often call everyone here my friends, including you PC. Holidays
are always rough, we understand.
Sorry. Haven’t even read the comments from the previous page.
I was gone for only two days (one night), but still…
It’s fine. I well understand hoow a barren thanksgiving feels.

I’d have you over for dinner if you thought you
could stand my cooking. Mind you, there’s that
whole 3000 miles away thing, but still . . .

Today is set aside for you to be alone and grow in wisdom.
Stay away from the computer.

I hate holidays. All holidays.
