So basically “Rock” enjoys his new job and is going to
stay and stop being a drunk “Chad”, at least when he’s
on duty. A good heavy operator is worth his weight in
gold, I’m not bad, but the Yard fork lift driver I knew did
things I didn’t know you could with one of those big
yard lifts. Like flipping over a 2 meter square metal
pallet with a fork tip like a tiddly-wink.
I’m torn between it being an anti-Cat action and a riot
over the Empire removing the problem in Europe. I
know much of the Russian leadership pre-fall was not
happy about religion…
The old Russian government is gone, Moscow was pretty much turned into glass in the nuclear
attacks during The Fall. (For most of the cities I list here, you can add “New” to the name. Only
Paris was mostly spared.)
The new Russian government in Nove Mockba is democratically elected and bears little resemblance
to any older government.
That’s good to know, I think it’s a curse that
socialism is almost always turned into a
form of communism. Which is a weakly hidden
form of the old kingdoms of medieval Europe.
Is that an example of that “artificial intelligence” stuff we’ve been hearing
about since, oh, forever? Back in ’87 I worked with Dallas Webster at a
computer research center. Dallas was an acknowledged “expert” in the
field of AI. When anybody would mention AI Dallas would just chuckle and
say something like “Never happening.” Almost 40 years on and I think he
is still right.
It’s insulting how many spammers seem to think that I need erectile dysfunction drugs.
Or that I have a gambling problem. Or want to see feelthy peectures.
PC – Can the filters be set to run in a particular order? Such that if an
earlier filter sees “socialism” or “socialist”, it stops processing further
filter tests on that word?
Well, TWC is up to their old shenanigans. Selling votes. No way Lancer
jumped up to #2 overnight, and picked up over 900 votes. Same with QC,
which is currently on hiatus showing random comics for the next month.
Well, it was nice while it lasted. {sigh} I guess when I go to TWC to vote
from now on I’ll have to be prepared to look a ways down the list. I had
already noticed towards the end of the month that TGW had suddenly
slipped a whole lot in the rankings. I guess the guy who runs TWC
wasn’t making enough with the new site. Oh, well.

Socialism will only work if all citizens are perfect, which is impossible.
As I have said for at least a decade: socialism cannot work so long as human nature is part of the equation.
